More than $1 billion worth of weapons the U.S. has sent to Ukraine have not been properly tracked and remain "delinquent," according to a new Department of Defense

WASHINGTON — The US has failed to properly track more than $1 billion-worth of high-tech weapons systems sent to Ukraine, though inventory processes are getting better, according to a new report from the Pentagon’s inspector general.

“While the DoD has improved execution of EEUM [enhanced end-use monitoring] since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022, the DoD did not comply with the EEUM program requirements for defense article accountability in a hostile environment,” says the partially redacted report, published Wednesday.

The report says that as of June 2023, though US European Command’s Office of Defense Cooperation-Ukraine and the Ukrainian military “conducted some required inventories, […] serial numbers for more than $1.005 billion of the total $1.699 billion (59 percent of the total value) of EEUM-designated defense articles remained delinquent.”

Why does Ukraine need our continued support again? I mean, if you had a choice to support the country of your own people versus another country would you still support the Ukrainian efforts? Germany unveils new military aid package for Ukraine

The German government announced on Jan. 17 a new package of military aid for Ukraine, which includes ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks, reconnaissance drones, and SatCom communication terminals.

The German government has said that it would provide Ukraine with EUR 7 billion ($ 7.6 billion) in military aid in 2024, according to Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

The country transferred Gepard anti-aircraft vehicles, other military equipment, and ammunition to Ukraine in December.

Germany announced a new military aid package for Ukraine on Jan. 4, including new Skynex air defense systems.

Putin says in interview with that racist who got FIRED from Fox News,

that it was POLAND that caused WW2.

Putin did not say Poland started WW2, rather Poland's failure to address Hitler's 16 demands for peace resulted in Poland being invaded.

And Tucker Carlson was not fired (we have been over that before) as the remainder of his lucrative contract is being paid by Fox.  That is why he can afford to travel on his own dime.

I realize it takes actually knowing history and few here do. Germany lost a lot of territory from the Treaty of Versailles and Hitler wanted it back.

Nor did Putin mentioned that Stalin tricked the Polish underground to rise up against the occupied germans saying the Russians were invading and had their back. Actually Russia waited until the germans crushed the rising underground and got them out of the way.

To answer the OP..........., The next step is for smart Congressman to ask "" how"" the next installment for Ukraine funds will be enough to. ""Win the war"".  Notice how Biden isn't interested in winning the war on anything.   Smart Congressman would be asking what the Ukrainians need to push the Soviets out of Ukraine.   Give them the tools to accomplish the goal.
