Since the other thread got boxed, I opened this one so we can keep this topic alive. Other dictators are certainly watching what happens next. The sanctions will eventually take its toll but I don't know of a silver bullet that could be used. Once Putin takes any territory, he's not prone to give it back no matter the financial hit he make personally take. Isolating Russia economically won't be felt for years & hurts the Russian people & just bruises their billionaires. Attacking their investment in the West is certainly a way to get their attention but they are as corrupt as Putin. Ceasing the export of US software, semiconductors & other high end technology should be on the table. Use the propaganda machine to tell Russian people these economic moves are against Putin & not the Russian people. In the meantime, continuous economic & military support must be provided to Ukraine. Finally, make sure it is crystal clear US boots on the ground is not an option. Any thoughts??
