Sergey Lavrov, during an English-language interview on RT, says that "only Fox News is trying to represent some alternative points of view" while calling the rest of the US press propaganda because "there is no such thing as an independent Western media."

In a lot of respects Lavrov is right, except my belief is he is trying to further divide our country rather than speak the truth.
And what is that truth? For one we have a vaccine where, as of January, based on Minnesota data, you are only 1.2 times more likely to catch covid if unvaccinated and 1.3 times more likely to die or be hospitalized, yet peaceful protesters in Canada not wanting the vaccine are behind bars and face life in prison. How is this no different than Russia???

Although governments have cancelled emergency declarations, Ontario court has extended freeze on donated funds as a $300 million class action lawsuit against protesters continue. Organizers have been denied release on bail. Police put them in jail on mischief charges for endangering or interfering with the rights of Ottawa residents. Maximum sentence is life imprisonment.

They are shooting at innocent civilians rather than at Ukraine military while running out of ammunition. Got it!
This whole "special military operation" appears to have gone real sour for Putin. And I say appears. Does look like he expected little resistance and is now backed into a corner. This can end in three ways, IMO.
1. Putin succeeds and defeats Ukraine creating years of bitter cold war era responses/iron curtain, etc.
2. Putin is pushed so far he attacks the West, maybe with help from China.
3. Putin is taken out and another dictator takes over Russia, maybe better, maybe even worse.
I see no agreement to end this now. Even if Zelensky caves to most of Putin's demands the West would want punishment, war crimes, reparations, etc. Putin cannot turn back now.
