Trump Threatens Mass Arrests of His Rivals

Donald Trump posted a threat to his political opponents, warning that he will seek mass arrests of anyone he believes is involved in “cheating” or “skullduggery” in the presidential election.

He specifically singled out lawyers, political donors, political operatives, election officials, and illegal voters.

He added: “Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our country.”

Is he threatening to do what the dems have done for years?

House GOP investigation failed to find evidence of weaponization of law enforcement against republicans.  However plenty of evidences show weaponization by republicans.  Rewriting history, they pretend their own scandals aren't real but democrat scandals are real.

You are essentially saying that we agree with you or we are fascist, which is something that a fascist might say...right, one ruler or one group...If you are not against Donald you must be for him...I fail to see how that gives someone the option which would differ from that of a fascist in simplistic terms....

By that regard, there would be many fascists that reside in here

Trump's comments cited in Comment #1 are what brand him as an aspiring fascist dictator, not my opinion which is based on his comments.  Neither Biden nor Harris said anything remotely like "Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our country.”

ALL of Trump's 34 felony convictions were reached by New York jury members in a New York state court; Merrick Garland and the U.S. federal Department of Justice were not involved.  Trump has stated he will use his Justice Department to go after his enemies.  Using government agencies to go after his enemies is exactly what a dictator would do if he were unable to resort to assassinations.

Politico reports that 13 former officials of Trump administration back general Kelly's criticism of Trump praise of Hitler and contempt for US constitution.  Officials include Neuman, Scaramucci, Grisham, Matthews and others.  They are brave lifelong republicans who chose country over party.  If Trump is elected, there won't be officials to restrain his worst impulses.  Everyone should heed general Kelly's warning.

So he first said 'enemy within'.  Then when offered a chance to walk back he doubled down and named Schiff and Pelosi.   There is another clip (I think it's from a rally) where he did say he would go after anyone else involved in the election fraud he's gonna cry about when he loses

 No where in that clip did Trump threaten mass arrests of his rivals. Same ol'around here. Guys just make up splashy headlines with no actual substance behind them. Sundance gets boxed for these kinds of shenanigans.

Not to mention a thread just like this already exists.

I digress. I can't find any instance of what this thread claims. You can find a few soundbites, spread out overthe past 4 years+, of Trump claiming he'd go after people in government he'd believed had broken the law. Nothing much more than typical Trump bloviating. No threads of mass incarnation though. The irony is that many feel Trumps legal troubles have amounted to political targeting by the Democrats but now they're worried?

This is an extensive article from NPR which is rated to have a "slight to moderate liberal bias" per MediaBiasFactCheck.com.  I might be 74, but I can certainly recall many of the items in the article, especially his claim that he promises "Retribution" if he triumphs on 2024-11-05.

 Isn’t odd that so many Republicans yes hand picked Republicans are laying there political reputations on the line and say he should be no where near the White House! This is unprecedented ! Don’t be surprised if more don’t step up in next 4 or 5 days ! 

Any reasonable person should have Trump derangement syndrome.  The twice impeached convicted felon is a threat to democracy and the rule of law.

My sister has it..only mention Trump and she goes OFF..unhinged..that's what watching MSLSD can do to someone's mind..Very sad . why I'm staying away until AFTER Election Day..
