Sure, the yen moved ~ 4%. The Euro had little to no lasting impact.
The main reason it really made news is that it is not often done and it may force an unwinding of the carry trade.
That is what traders care about.

I told everyone on this thread my source spoke to the Collin’s campaign about Graham kicking her butt in the Polls! The source in the Collins Campaign stated “we’re not worried once the deadline is past we’re gonna release info that will crush Graham” Democrats got wind of what the Collins campaign was up to so they got ahead of it using Politico to destroy Graham so they could replace him.
The Dems did the same thing with Eric Swalwell! Eric was a lock to win the Cali Gov election but Republicans had dirt on Swalwell & the Dems found out! Then the Dems destroyed Swalwell before the Primary so they could replace him with Becerra.
This event proves my source was telling the truth! I keep telling you guys the Republicans are retarded & I keep showing you some of the Republican retardation.
Swalwell was guilty & Graham is most likely innocent.

This is false. There is no broadly accepted evidence that she is 'discredited'. Her allegation is disputed simply because she accused him of SA and he denied it. There has been no court ruling saying she fabricated her story.

This is not true either. Politico did not publish a retraction or say Racicot was discredited. Instead, Politico stood by its reporting and described the corroboration it relied on.
They have admitted there were limits to what it could verify. But they reported that they reviewed the emails between her and her therapist, interviewed a man she confided in, and reviewed messages where she warned another warning another woman about Platner years before his campaign.
The sort of true part is that every potential witness or evidence would or could not be made public. But that is far different than saying Politico had no corroboration.
So the question is why Politico did you write the story?

That is not supported either. Polls show they had concerns about his issues and of course the SA allegation was the last straw for a lot of folks and they started withdrawing support for him. It was not just the 'one-night stands' -- he had a lot going on that was working against him.
So, the biggest issue is the assertion that she was discredited and the implication being that was the sole, or main, reason Platner was forced away.
Well that is based on the assumption having a “strong” currency is good ! You do know that some countries deliberately try to devaluate their currency right ? The ONLY effect it does have is that the JPY/EUR exchange rate go up temporarily- but since the demand for EURs outshine JPY - it will quickly go back to have had no effect at all ! - that is not necessarily bad for Europe - most speculate that Europe wants a weaker currency so our exports go up - we are basically owning so much that we have the option to choose what we want - while you and Japan have so fucked up economies - you are bound in your decisions
It is a little similar when the Bank of England tried keeping their exchange rate locked - which eventually led to their crash ! You can’t use USD - because the carry trade primarily involve those two currencies ! You taking a big gamble using EURs because we haven’t allowed you to - and the demand for EURs are very high !! So you are basically trying to go against the market forces !! I don’t think I have to remind you that it has never happened before the market has lost in cases like this - and it has a clean record of sweeping big entities and countries off the map - when they have tried to intertwine

The main thing it would influence is that right now when you want to exchange two currencies - you first have to exchange to USD - but that is a system you have made and enforce while we control most of the systems making it happen ! There would be no stopping us from rerouting that process to be another currency in the long-term if that is what we want to go for - after we have mourned the loss of you (for a few minutes - the few of us that has fond memories of what you once were and not what you have become !) so yeah it would be a pain in the butt - and it would rewire trade for a few years COVID style - but after 4-5 years it would be “do you remember that country called US?”
You have one of the most “closed” markets in the world (you are basically just circle jerking yourself of - For the global market you are just a consumer - Those can be replaced !) ! It would be WAY worse for the world as a whole if Europe or China disappeared from the global stage than if you did

Chinese yuan is not a reserve currency, it is a closed loop currency meaning Russia China North korea Iran and other nations can use this currency with being permission. The basis is the yuan is a country controlled currency and no foreigner can own it .
Federal reserve is actually a private banks note that American backs but doesn't actually own....

A new reserve currency is that all money can be transferred to Bitcoin. This is an actual currency but the fluctuate in markets and it's volutbiltity has made it a lesser valued commodity versus the fed or hard gold.
