blacks, while 12 percent of the nation's population, account for 21 percent of the nation's jobless. The picture is particularly dire in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where black unemployment is nearly 20 percent, and Detroit, where's it's over 25 percent.

    Forward.

    Things are going swell.

    Huge recovery.

Point is, you know you're an alias, so you have to lie to yourself.... and help yourself get through it..

I'm starting to wonder if stiln and DL are an alias? Like Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde. You start off as a liberal, drink the magic potion, and become really liberal.

It seems like that's all DL is hung up on and now you're getting into the fray.

If I am a alias from the past please pray tell which one I used to be?

Hey Road,, things are going good considering who you voted for.. Blacks are being educated in record numbers since Obama took office. Once Robney's jobs foreign jobs come back home. The rate will drop further. That's why I said that it will be 6.5 when Hillary takes over in 2016

Did you know that it was once against the law to educate a black person., that's correct, in the south ?

    Um, no they're not.

    But I did enjoy this:

WASHINGTON (AP) — The richest Americans got richer during the first two years of the economic recovery while average net worth declined for the other 93 percent of U.S. households, says a report released Tuesday.

The upper 7 percent of households owned 63 percent of the nation's total household wealth in 2011, up from 56 percent in 2009, said the report from the Pew Research Center, which analyzed new Census Bureau data released last month.

In post #52 you weren't asking me if I were an alias. You were telling me. So if I am an alias who was I before?

I have no possible idea who you were before.. Woop, richard, 5ff,?

Point is you joined covers and immediately narrowed in on the politics section..

    Wanna guess why that is??

Check out my date: Dec 2009
    Yours is Dec 2010.

I joined Covers a year before you were a member. You say I immediately narrowed in on the Politics Forum. How do you know if you weren't a member yet?

I know I didn't start posting until well after I joined because I knew nothing of the forums. I joined for sports betting info.

The first thread I remember making, at least creating, was when we got Bin Laden.

So it is not possible that you and others like 5_for_fighting make these accounts well in advance and just don't use them??

It's pretty obvious that is the case so that it "appears" that you have had the account for a while.. and once one of your accounts is banned you simply move on to the next one..

    Comprendes?

    Not merely creating your account.

I love how you're attempting to spin this as much as you can.. from the fact that you are in fact an alias..

You can call this crap, you can call me a liar, you can say I dont make sense, whatever you'd like, but the point is.. you are an alias.. No matter how much you avoid the question..

    This makes no sense

Also, did you know that this nation's first gun laws were enforced on Black people so that they could not defend themselves. It was a Klan supported law.

That is until the NRA (former union soldiers) stood up for them.

WASHINGTON — Millions of Americans suffered a loss of wealth during the recession and the sluggish recovery that followed. But the last half-decade has proved far worse for black and Hispanic families than for white families, starkly widening the already large gulf in wealth between non-Hispanic white Americans and most minority groups, according to a new study from the Urban Institute.
    ...
The dollar value of that gap has grown, as well. By the most recent data, the average white family had about $632,000 in wealth, versus $98,000 for black families and $110,000 for Hispanic families.

Well, if national black unemployment is 21%, then L.A. and Vegas at 20% isn't so bad.

Well,  don Juan, just look at how slow we're recovering compared to the early 80s recession, which was comparable and by some measures even worse. We should be cruising along, just as we were at this point then. Instead, we are barely growing. Who, if not Obama, is to blame for this abnormally slow recovery?

Current conditions are different.  In previous recessions, Americans were more willing to borrow and spend their way to economic recovery.  Today,  many Americans have excess debt and prefer not to borrow more.  So economic recovery should be slower.  The economy is bigger than government.  Democrats or Republicans really cannot do much to change U.S. economy.

yes, borrowing and spending--economic activity in general--is down, and personal debt is high, but what do you think encourages more economic activity: marginal tax rate reductions, which leaves people more of their own money to spend--the opposite of what Obama has done--or taking more resources out of the private sector so that government can spend, depriving people of their own money, which is exactly what has Obama has pursued?
