NPR reports that Biden has issued 1500 pardons in one day the greatest act of clemency in US history.  Mostly for non-violent people who served long sentences that would be shorter under current laws.  Biden advance equal justice under the law, promote public safety, support rehabilitation, and provide meaningful second chances.
