Have you seen how our UNIONIZED students compare with the rest of the world? 

You must not of heard the stories that come from AP Teachers that get paid less than PE teachers just because they have more tunure. NO lesson plans....no grading papers after school. No out of pocket supply expendatures.

What world do you live in? I can't think of ANY jobs where they need unions....NONE. 

Bowlslit to sit here and blame the union worker for jobs being moved overseas, shows you actually know nothing about this subject.

Companies moved the jobs over seas, because they were able to find labor to work for a few dollars a day and then those companoes were able to bring those products back here to sell, without having to pay any import tax on those products?  What the hell do you think those greedy ass corporations were gonna do? Also i hate to burst your bubble but union and non union jobs are being sent over seas, not just union jobs.

Whats your solution to stop this?  Have our people work for the same type of wages that people over in india, china and other countries work for? Will you be willing to work for 5 bucks a day in some plant?

Maybe if you used a little common sense in life and stopped letting yourself be brain washed by the corporations, you might just actually see who the bad guy is.

Oh and your comment about all union workers being bums also shows how clueless you are. Yeah i know all non union workers are just outstanding top line workers while all union workers are bums. Ya, it makes a lot of sense for me to defend a merit based system while being a lazy ass myself. It would seem that If I were a lazy ass for me to have more skin in the game to defend unions. Meanwhile, you are the one defending the lazy, non-productive lifestyle that most union members have become accostomed to. You forget that I work on commision...therefore I get paid relative to how hard I work. NICE TRY!

How do you defend the following facts about unions in these tough times?

1. Pay based on tenure rather than what you accomplish or how effective you are.

2. Difficult to fire/get rid of employees that don't pull their weight.

As stiln so gracefully pointed out before. The NFL is a perfect example of what unions can do. Look at JaMarcus Russell....he got paid 30 million guarantee and he is as lazy as they come.

Now NFL wants to divert that exorbant money that rookies make and give it to retirees and members that have been in the league for a minimum amount of time but the NFLPA is fighting that model so that JaMarcus Russell and Andre Ware and others can keep their millions that they are guaranteed.

Why is that so brilliant?

CD, the Alcoa (non union) plant (not alcoa anymore) is still in operation as we speak. There were no jobs that were shipped overseas. Avg wage is $15/hour. Hardly the $5/day that you say is bound to happen.

Even stiln acknowledged that unions are only beneficial in certain sectors even though he was off on what sectors that is.

15/hr is not bad for not needing a bachelors degree. They get profit sharing too. There were two plants that DID vote the union in. They avg 16.50 per hour with no profit sharing.

Stiln...why would I need to post a link that proves that PE teachers make more than a newer AP teacher? We all know that our current system is paid on tenure and not merit.

I figured the inteligent people on the forum would fully understand that meaning we could skip the vetting part.

27 of the top 100 teacher salaries in Illinois are PE teachers. I don't think any high school teachers should make over 100K.

Stiln, we know that teachers all accross the country in various districts are paid according to tenure so that means that a PE teacher that has taught for 18 years is going to be making more money than an AP teacher that has been teaching for 11 years.

Why must you argue this point when simple analysis points to me OWNING you once again on this issue.

Guys like youa re just pissed off when you see others making more then what you make. Its pure jealousy and nothing else. Thats why you are always bashing union workers and saying they are all lazy, which is totally incorrect. I have worker with lazy union people and i have worker with lazy non union people. Being in the union has nothing to do with a worker being lazy. Your either a good worker in life or your not.  Also there is no union worker that wants to work next to some lazy ass union worker, because that just means the good worker has to pick up the slack for the lazy worker and am sorry but thats just not happening. When me and my fellow workers worked next to a lazy work, trust me we all gave that piece of shit lazy worker a piece of our minds and we wouldnt do his share of the work. So really these fairytales you have about union workers are just fairytales, made up by the corporate rat scumbags and guys like you believe that shit.
