Same Same But Different- Adam Schiff Version

 I'm not gonna act like the biggest Adam Schiff fan but he has done nothing wrong from what I can see, without knowing all the details. He, like many of us Californias, just prefers to live in the Northwest during his free time. My biggest gripe with him is being him being a liberal Californian deciding to live in the Northwest. It's bad enough being a Californian here. Please leave the liberal politics down there. Mugg and my states are literally controlled by two cities and that sucks.

Yeah, he has done somethings wrong.

Guy gets elected in 2000. Then in 2003 he buys his 3,400 sqft home in Maryland and moves in with his family. Why? Because he spends most of his time in DC and wants more family contact. OK

And he lists Maryland home as primary residence. Makes sense, he is there the most.

Then in 2009 he buys a 650 sqft condo in Burbank and lists that as his primary residence.  That saves him a mere $70 a year but that is not why he lists it as his primary residence.

To qualify for a homeowner’s exemption under California law, “a dwelling must be the person’s true, fixed and permanent home and principal establishment to which he/she, whenever absent, intends to return.”  So that is fraud.

Despite purchasing the home in Maryland two years into his tenure in Congress, a biography on his campaign website from 2010-14 suggested Schiff was raising his family at his home in Burbank.

“Settled in Burbank, CA, Adam and his wife Eve are the proud parents of daughter Alexa, age 13, and son Elijah, age 10,” read the biography, which made no mention of his Maryland home. More fraud.

Marisol Samayoa, a spokesperson for Schiff’s campaign, asserted his primary residence was in California and said he had been open about it citing several news mentions and a mention in his book.

“Adam’s primary residence is Burbank, California, and will remain so when he wins the Senate seat,” she told CNN in an email. MORE FRAUD.

In 2020, Schiff refinanced his mortgage indicating the Maryland house was his second home, but a social media post from 2021 suggested the congressman was still living at the home with his wife. A school publication and athletic records also show his son was attending a local high school at the time. MORE FRAUD.

So yeah, he bought that tiny 650 sqft condo to fraudulently maintain a California residence.

I would look at state income tax. Maryland's is up to 5.75%, California up to 13%. What state did Schiff pay state income tax to? When he claimed two primary residences in two different states who got tax money? When in 2020 he claimed only California as primary residence while continuing to live in Maryland, did he defraud Maryland?

Hmmmm.

 How many Senator's and Reps have multiple homes? How many have a home in the DC area, a home in their home state, etc? Probably all of them.

Suddenly changing Maryland residence to 2nd residence before running for California senate seat? Bullshit. 

Tommy Tuberville? Dems in Bama are taking him to court over his living in Florida. Why??? Oh why??? Everybody does it, you just said so. 

Yes, they all do it but Tuberville isn't exactly loved by all including those in his own party. They are still pissed he held up over 400 military promotions.

Tell ya what, give me a list of other Senators or Reps who list multiple homes as primary residence cause that's the issue here. You can bet your arse the NYT and WoPo are digging as we speak.

Ohhh, so only apply the law to those you dislike and ignore or support the others.

 Right,so when Uni is complaining about somebody "only applying the law to those you dislike and then ignoring and supporting the others".It's kinda hypocritical when he is doing exactly the same thing he's crying about somebody else doing.He wants to apply the law to someone he dislikes (Schiff),but he wants to ignore laws when it's someone he supports (trump).I couldn't spell it out to you any easier then that.

Couldn't DC be considered his primary residence? He's a senator. To be clear, i'm not a fan of shifty Schiff. I just think this is b.s.

The Constitution sets three qualifications for service in the U.S. Senate: age (at least thirty years of age); U.S. citizenship (at least nine years); and residency in the state a senator represents at time of election. The details of these qualifications were hammered out by the Constitution's framers during the Constitutional Convention in 1787.

Schiff lived in Maryland and ran for Senator in California. And he was re-elected how many times as a Rep while living in Maryland that the Constitution requires you to reside in the state elected. 

He had no business to claim his Maryland home as Primary Residence unless he planned not to run again. He saved maybe a 1/2 % interest rate on his $500,000 dollar mortgage doing so. He buys a tiny condo in Cal, during the housing crisis no less, when prices crashed, and also called that his primary residence. 

Name one other person who has even been tried for the supposed law that Trump was convicted of? NAME ONE.

How about give me names of elected prosecutors who campaigned on "I will find something and get Joe Biden (insert any past president) and throw him in jail if elected"

The phrase " A special kind of stupid" has surfaced. Apply when needed as it doesn't seem to offend anyone. It's just special. 

His "case" was always campaigning via the courts. Democrats knew they had nothing of substance, and really just wanted to be able to call him "a convicted felon" on the campaign trail. Even now, they play with words, saying things like, "the convicted felon rapist," as if he was convicted of rape.

And after all of that Trump wins the election. What's that tell ya? 

Schiff will never get charged with anything, IMO. Tubberville?, not in Bama, maybe they can get a DC court to get him. I really don't care either way. The fact that Dems are taking him to court should mean Schiff should be taken to court.
