    @Jarrett75

     Exactly. This dumb shit January 6th committee is only because they are scared of Trump. Why would they be running these show trials right before the mid terms after failing the country for 2 years with their crap covid policies inflation and shit economy. Hell they are so pathetic they have to try to bankrupt alex jones for something that he said a decade ago. They are fucking weak ass cowards and the whole country knows it that has half a brain.

    Those numbers likely to get worse

    Nearly 60% of Americans       Want Trump Charged          For Insurrection   HUFFPOST - Nearly six in 10 Americans believe former President Donald Trump should be charged with a crime for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to a new poll released Sunday. Almost 21% of republican voters asked also agree! The findings by the ABC News/Ipsos survey reveal a very slight uptick in support for prosecution of Trump since the start of televised hearings by the House select committee investigating the insurrection that Trump incited.An ABC News/Washington Post poll conducted in April found that 52% of those surveyed thought the same.

    Those numbers likely to get worse

    (CNN)A former Virginia police officer who was fired after breaching the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021, was sentenced by a federal judge Thursday to more than seven years in prison.
    Thomas Robertson entered the Capitol with the first breach of rioters that day, prosecutors said, and marks the second rioter convicted by a jury to be sentenced. Guy Reffitt, the first riot defendant convicted by a jury, received the same sentence of 87 months behind bars -- the highest sentence in a January 6 case to date.

    On Tuesday, Google announced that it would continue to ban Truth Social from appearing in its app store due to its lax content moderation standards that failed to police threats of violence by users.

    “On Aug. 19, we notified Truth Social of several violations of standard policies in their current app submission and reiterated that having effective systems for moderating user-generated content is a condition of our terms of service for any app to go live on Google Play,” Google said in a statement.

    After peaking in March, Truth Social's stock price has CRASHED nearly 75%, the Washington Post reported, in large part due to Trump's serious legal jeopardy stemming from his mishandling of classified government documents after being voted out of the White House.

    Disturbing that YouGov poll found 43% of Americans believe a civil war is likely in the next 10 years.  Republicans are more likely to believe in future violence.  FBI found that right wing extremists are the top domestic terrorism threat in the US.

    @thirdperson

     I would say that history repeats itself and that a civil war is imminent. The temperature of politics right now is very brittle. People are fed up and have had enough. The economy is horrible as well and many feel as those the government did something to them to cause it or is not doing enough to help them. Right, wrong or indifferent perception is the key. Our country, as a status to the world, has taken a big hit in terms of being a leader. We do not hold the same power in the eyes of the world as we once did. Politically, it has been tarnished and to our own demise. Many would say we look weak. Internally our own country is in shambles in many areas and if one feels that the government did this, you will see the people revolt. If a civil war is coming then it will take on a very different approach than what was seen in the first civil war. You may even see some of the the military involved in acting out against its government. Wouldn't that be something.

    Unlike other presidents, Trump abuses pardon power for political gain or to reward allies. His selections aren't people recommended for pardons by justice department. Also he is the least generous by pardoning fewer people.
