"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." --Adolf Hitler
(Speech of May 1, 1927. Quoted by Toland, 1976, p. 306)

Totally agree Timber....and yes, it's strange how liberals reject the idea of creation.... by a creator, (which is completely logical) and throw in with some half-baked theory which basically states that we have evolved up to this point through struggle and fight, yet they reject the same principals when it comes to surviving in society itself...
I don't fully understand this...could a liberal explain please ![]()

ok. (
Your) examples of capitalism are just as good an example of what is wrong with your mentality than anything.
In this free market capitalism model shown, where “bribed governments” grant to some businesses political advantages to seize wealth by force or forcibly harm competitors, that is not “unregulated capitalism;”
What you fail to understand is that this is exactly the point of unbridled capitalism. With a leader like Bush, that is exactly the extent of free marklet capitalism. That's it. Complete free market capitalism is a pipe dream, and the fact is people like you have been convinced that somehow there is some utopian free market system out there. Bush gave you the closest you will ever see, and all that was, was exactly what you posted above...a haven for corruption.
So when the RNC preaches about free market, unregulated capitalism, yet Bush gives you exactly what you posted...you still return to the cool-aid stand day after day without question.
Please explain that....I mean go search a blog for an answer ![]()

If you want a more free market system than what Bush gave you I encourage you to move to places like Mexico and Iraq, where free market capitalism has been transplanted. Where Wallstreet runs the show, where the government intervention you fear so much has been replaced with systemic widespread poverty.
Here's a hint since it's apparent you guys don't know....there more fundamentally free market capitalism gets, the worse it is for society and the population as a whole; but the more beneficial it is to financial institutions and multinational corporations...hmmmm wonder why this isn't common knowledge in the 'free market economy is everything' USA...![]()

free market capitalism has made America the greatest nation on the face of the earth, if not in the history of the world....the system has flaws for sure, and some regulation is needed, I agree...but Captialism makes for a totally classless society where people of .." different economic circumstances, can rise and fall on their own merit...the rich can get poor, the poor can get rich, the middle class get get rich and the middle class can get poor...what else can somebody want? I don't get it?
"excessive profits are condemned because they just make the rich richer. There are a lot of things wrong with that. For one thing, the profits of large companies usually go to stockholders, who are often just ordinary people, or to mutual funds or pension funds that benefit ordinary people. Even if profits merely went to the rich, the wealth of the rich is not simply "lost" to other people. Wealth does not uselessly sit in treasure chests, as it might have done in the Middle Ages. It is invested, goes into banks, etc. What it does then is generate more economic activity, investment and entrepreneurial activities which are more important to growth and employment than simple consumption. The problem with the Marxist principle that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer is that it is impossible: the rich cannot get richer unless the poor get richer. and theft to enrich themselves at the expense of their people often end up destroying their own quality of life well as that of the poor. A large market with a small profit margin always produces more profit than a small market with a large profit margin. Henry Ford was not the first industrialist to recognize that, but in recognizing it he transformed modern life by almost singlehandedly replacing the horse with the automobile. Ford brought down the price of a car from some $3000 to $380. That put the Model T within reach of a great mass of consumers.... Ford also decided to help put it within reach of his own workers in 1914 by raising the daily wage from $2.34 to $5. Since average weekly earnings in 1909 were $9.84, usually for a six day week, that put the average daily wage at only $1.64 The raise was certainly good for Ford workers, but it shows a "demand side" understanding of economic growth that had disastrous results when Ford advised Herbert Hoover how to deal with the Depression".
I want the people of America to be able to work less for the government and more for themselves. I want them to have the rewards of their own industry. That is the chief meaning of freedom. Until we can re-establish a condition under which the earnings of the people can be kept by the people, we are bound to suffer a very distinct curtailment of our liberty.
Calvin Coolidge, State of the Union message, December 3, 1924
