NATO spent 8 years building the Ukraine Military then built the World’s greatest defense line in Eastern Ukraine. FYI Ukraine was the former USSR’s Military Industrial Complex until they relocated it East. The USSR Ukraine MIC was MASSIVE included Massive underground bases. Russia has the last defensive stronghold completely surrounded & cut off from resupply, Russia has basically destroyed the entire front line. As Russia moves West it has to go over every inch of the won territory to remove Booby traps, mines, & left over Ukrainian soldiers. It’s a slow dangerous process.
