Man wins $1 million lawsuit vs. Biden DOJ

 A pro-life activist whose 2022 arrest by the FBI under the Biden administration drew national headlines has reached a seven-figure settlement after suing the Justice Department over his arrest and prosecution.

 Mark Houck filed a lawsuit against the department in 2023 seeking restitution for what he called "a faulty investigation" and "excessive force" after a SWAT team of around 25 people arrested him in front of his children at his home on Sept. 23, 2022, allegedly with guns drawn.

The shocking details of his arrest spurred criticism from conservatives that the Justice Department under then-President Joe Biden was targeting pro-life activists.

After a three-year legal battle, 40 Days for Life President Shawn Carney announced April 9 that Houck had reached a settlement with the Department of Justice under President Donald Trump and had been awarded more than $1 million.

 So.....who are the Nazi's again?

How many ICE lawsuits have there been to date for even worse abuses than this conservative citizen experienced? I would say death is a teeny bit worse than a typical every single day ICE arrest.

I look forward to equal justice for all citizens who have been unreasonably detained and harassed by the government.

The Biden admin. targeted those that opposed the liberal way of thinking.

 How are they targeting those opposed to conservative thinking?  They are targeting illegals or those hindering their investigations.  This is established law from both parties in previous years.

 I would say the reverse. You are partisan in the extreme yourself so you view the conservative issue as more serious where I am considering the action the offense not the partisan position of the party in question. If you are upset about the conservative or non-conservative then this shows where your mind goes. My postS are about the offense and that Mugg as usual posts a silly lawsuit because it is a conservative partisan take and you both say zero about the ethnic cleansing happening from Trump/ICE. 

If you are going to be upset at someone being detained or that a prosecution was unjust then DO IT for everyone and not just your partisan positions. What is happening right now today and for the last year plus is far worse than this, not even close and yet crickets because it follows your agenda.

Yes, your mind is about the offense.  
So, the offense is breaking the law and hindeing investigations versus targeting group(s) of folks just for their views?

 Again..I am about the offense not that it is conservative or that it is about whatever the specific topic was. I am about any person being detained improperly or prosecuted improperly that is the issue for me. I am about everyone not just that this is a conservative example. There are examples like this every single day and worse. We are witnessing ethnic cleansing and the loss of life from the actions of this administration which would not exist if it were not for the ultra conservative project 2025 agenda. ICE would not be in this capacity even though ICE at many times has been abusive, they are just abusive on steroids with masks and no nametags now. 

When the issue only matters or is discussed when it is partisan that is quite pathetic and then the issue is only branded because it fits the agenda. A better approach would be to discuss detainment and prosecution because we have HUNDREDS of years of this and yet it only matters for you folks when it is partisan to your agenda.

That is pathetic...this country is more than just your partisan lolly if you have forgotten.

So do you have ANY capacity to bring discussion and content that isnt partisan? Do you even have the ability? Bring more than just your partisan complaining and be open to all perspectives, that might be a start.

Just this week there has been an investigation into the local police for officers going undercover and in this case the guy wore a classless idiotic Trumo shirt and the purpose was to infiltrate and incite a peaceful protest at a high school. It was uncovered thankfully and the conservative police department tried to cover it up and minimize this attempt to improperly push minors and others into breaking the law and this is not the first or last time it will happen.

Improper conduct and prosecution is not a partisan topic, that is my issue.

 How do you ‘incite’ a peaceful protest?  What does that mean exactly?

Never seen those put together before.  
Those are usually mobilized or organized.

I was kidding. That was what I meant by the wink.

I mean grammatically it may be alright.  
But usually ‘incite’ is used in the opposite direction.  
Like to ‘incite’ a riot or an UNPEACEFUL protest.

Usually a PEACEFUL protest is ‘mobilized’ or just ‘organized’.

Maybe ‘infiltrate and rile up, spark, or provoke’ a peaceful protest.

Incite would be used to promote a more violent type of protest.

Provoke, or such, would work better when saying someone is going to infiltrate and rile up an already peaceful protest.

After federal judge dismiss anti-abortion protester's lawsuit, disturbing that justice department needlessly gives him over $1 million as settlement.  Unlike an independent justice department, Trump politicized department works for him.  Former prosecutors say they are fired for doing their jobs properly to enforce rule of law.  Wrong to reward a MAGA supporter and claim weaponization of Freedom of access act.  FACE act prohibits threats, violence, obstruction or property damage at places providing healthcare services.  However politicized justice department now refuses to enforce FACE act except in cases of death or serious property damage.  Abuse of power for Trump to pardon criminals so that they can sue government.  For example, rioters who attack capitol on January 6.
