Should be a very close primary race.

Rep Libby who made national interest for her stand on trans athletes in high school female sports was given the right to vote and speak on floor of the house in Augusta. 

She was censored because revealing the identity of minors in high school is not allowed in Maine.

Her case is still being heard in lower courts and the nations supreme court ruled that until lower courts decision is revealed she will be able to represent her constituent in Auburn Maine in Maine House of representatives. 

Jared Golden ( D) Maine second district states he will run again for his seat.

He drops his governor exploration comitee and is now engaged with the presumptive candidate Paul Lepage for Congress.

Handicap note : le page was defeated by Janet Mills twice in his election bid for governor. Jared Golden unseated Bruce Poliquin and defeated him 2 times to remain Congressmen.

Troy is related to me.

So Troy in primary is where I will be campaigning . 

Republicans have yet to field a candidate that has enough Support to win this contest. Unless Susan Collins emerges to contest Bellows I believe Bellows will be the next governor.

The second district I will support Golden, he is a marine conservative Catholic back ground doesn't use or take oac money. And can vote independent of party line. He was the only Democrat in house to cross the aisle when government shut down was pending for example. Chuck Shummer did in the Senate and really what will be remembered. 

That being said I want Troy and Jared as conservative Democrats in leadership position that have independent voices and come from a working man's perspective. Golden once did dishes to pay for Bates education as an example. Troy is a logger from allagash. The party frowns on these types of characters and won't be surprised about a push from the liberal wing to stop Jackson's candicy.

Nice!  Always good to be able to root for family! 

Always nice to still hear about some conservative Democrats that vote their constituent’s interest. 

Nice to know that there are still independent voices expressing their own morals and beliefs and beliefs in the Republican ranks and proud they are representing their hospital and blue collar families traditional values.

Standing up to the 700 billion in cuts to Medicaid and Medicare programs these pay hospitals people receive care from. A few Republicans stated they will not support the big beautiful bill because of these drastic cuts to hospitals leading to closure of rural health centers.

 Gotcha.  I thought you were referencing something going on with a local hospital there.

Yeah I wouldn’t worry too much about that.  When the cuts are limited to 4% a year that can be more see as streamline something that needs it. So, instead of wording it that way, the media simply uses the much scarier ‘large’ number instead of the less ‘concerning’ small number. There are also a lot of inaccuracies put out about this to scare and stir folks up.  A lot of the ‘provisions’ are presented by some as ‘cutting off the most vulnerable’.  
It is nothing like that.  

There are a couple of independent breakdowns on this online if you look for them.  
There are also a couple addressing some of the ‘myths’ in the media about it.

It is a huge, huge part of the budget and is fraught with waste that needs to be addressed.

But it certainly will not affect the main folks that need it.

What do you mean by this about the party frowning on those types of characters?

Loggers or independent and conservative Democrats?  Or all of those?

I thought a hard worker logger would be respected in that area.  Supposedly, Collins is an independent-type Republican.  So, I figured folks there like the ‘independent’ part as well.

Yes like the Grand old party infiltrated by tea activist who self identify as magas and their influence over the Republican party, the Democrats have been infiltrated by far left groups who dont identify as socialist in their approach.

A few closures of medical facilities already begun in Maine. Waterville lost 100 bed in hospital treatment center with the closure of inland hospital all cases were sent to an Augusta hospital. 

Like wise mayo reginal has downsized it's clinic satellite as well as central Maine medical. 

Alot of hospital are cutting staff after the federal withholding of medical expenses. 

4% and 4% the year after for ten years leads to a 39% reduction which holds the 700 billion over time. Medicaid budget is not 700 billion in any year... 

This is only way math works out ... Which leads to concluded a third cut to medical facilities leads to a 25 % reduction in population. 

And again another government run down sizing program on the most needy.

Yes, nationally.  But you think it has done it that extent in Maine to sway elections there?

Sure.  But 4% a year to start seems reasonable.

You have to remember, the Congress may change next term.  The President will change the term after that.

You also have to realize how they misrepresent the numbers.  If something has been increasing in budget size by 6% a year and you only increase it by 3% the next year — it is still an increase.  But they will present it often as a ‘cut’ when it still went up.  They will even present it as a 50% reduction (from 6% to 3%).

I would look at a more independent view of what is going on with it and not just the numbers they present.

Something needs to be done.  I am not sure this is correct, but it will get the discussion going for futures years I hope.

But, certainly the ‘most vulnerable’ will not be left without.

Do you have a link on the exact reasons about the Maine facilities?  If not, I can look it up. 
But a lot of more rural areas are always in flux and shutting and moving and building others as needs change in areas.  
Is this really a direct cause from anticipation of the money or from real needs?

Sure it is.  It first cleared that number in 2021.  
I am sure there is 4% savings that can be found there. 
Don’t you think?  Then after that reassess each year like always, with a goal of cutting waste.  Then when you have it streamlined, you are good.

Maybe it is cleaned up after 5 years and not require 10 years.

Government likes to deflect responsiblety on everything but they are responsible for the life expectancy here. Infant mortality...this is not knew trump kept life saving meds from his own brother until he signed an agreement.

Same old argument from Republicans limiting them food supplies and direct leads to population reduction, to wars , now drugs, and limiting health care access points. The government has always been in what do we do to control growth. To stop population collapse.

Not necessarily true.  If it is an emergency they will still treat you.  If it isn't they still will work  plan out, etc.

When something it , more or less, completely funded by the government it simply grows and grows and becomes more expensive.  

For sure, folks that get a dire disease will always have an issue not matter the cost or treatment.

This is not really true at all.  They do not limit personal growth at all; they even aid it.

They are not 'limiting' their food supplies; just asking them to work for them.

Emergency room treatment is critical path method to sustain health however it is first step to treatment.

And deflection to a primary care follow-up which requires insurance or agency will not operate in needs to salary equations.

Not necessary means sometimes true well that sometimes is directly impacted by the use of money vs charity care. 

And sometimes accounts for deaths across America leading to trafficking of humans for needs . These concerns are addressed with limitations in life capacity and life expectancy. 

And the parties will not openly discuss the reality so they deflect to budget concerns or impact studies are needed or the deficit ,budget concerns but as more primary care facilities reach capacity as far as new patients and other agencies fold due to budgets then the general public suffers from preventable deaths.

When a Catholic lab victim staggers in off the street with precious organs needed for paying clients they don't make it. And no one cares cause he or she burned too many bridges to be able to make next of contact call. 

Not unfamiliar with the process and not against the ideas. Cause it something I can not change so I been trained to accept this reality.
