Could be many things here, they could be, as I said earlier, monitoring the transmissions, could be they already know exactly what the Chinese are doing with those balloons and what they are but do not want to let on. With the world watching really no other choice to save face.

I guess the real question is; Can you live with a person in charge who is unlikable yet shows results that they can do the job? No wars rather peace agreements, no open borders, never will forget a Covers poster complaining to me in 2020 that Mexican "sour fentanyl" was so expensive on the street due to Trumps border policies. Inflation in check, resisted long term lockdowns which now we know the harm caused.
I really don't like Trump. Most likely would not want him as a neighbor. He is full of himself. Yet I find his ego drives him to perform. His lack of being a political figure has him seeing things for what they are. Germany and their dependence on Russian gas for instance. He nailed it. Why spend millions of American tax dollars to protect Germany from someone they are enriching? No politician would dare go there, he did. I believe we need more of that.
And YES, he has been persercuted like no other. Seems like those who like to call people names, clowns, cult, fascist, dictator, nazi, rump loving, etc. go nuts when Trump talks and acts just like them. See it all the time, makes me laugh.
Don't think he'll make the cut for 2024, he might if things get worse, he is getting old and he has a lot of battle scars. But I won't stop defending him when I believe he is right. I do that for anyone.

You can send me a PM and we can discuss why you keep getting boxed, but it is always for abuse of the site rules, nothing else. Some people are unable to debate content and choose to attack the person which is breaking the site rules. Those people who attack and abuse other members get boxed or banned depending on different variables. There are for sure correlations between certain groups who attack other members versus others.
It is a good idea for anyone on either side to keep control of their emotions and remember that the rules exist about being respectful to other members and while it might be annoying to see other perspectives and positions you do not agree with, we for sure are going to uphold the rules about how members post replies to each other. It is a good idea if a member cannot keep the rules when reading different views then STOP reading those views and ignore it. Making attacks, digs, negative personal comments are not allowed on the site and MIGHT get attention and the result will be probation or a full ban.
Best thing to do is control your tempers and quit reading threads and replies which are going to provoke the lack of control and breaking the rules with replies that we see here so very often.

Notice something in the reply I made, there are SO MANY replies and posts and threads which break the rules we do not even see. I dont go into every thread here or in any area of the site and comb through to find where people are breaking rules, so notice that I referenced that we can box or ban and it brings attention to you. It is obvious that a few of you have issues and seem unable to debate, discuss have differences without the childish attacks so why even make a reply?

Politico reveals that defense department tracks hundreds of balloons every day but they are typically deemed a non-threat. Trump security officials wouldn't be notified of Chinese balloons unless their behavior is out of the ordinary.

Just reading between the lines it looks like China was getting away with spy balloons until the one crashed off of Hawaii. Retreiving that balloon and examining it would have confirmed it was spying rather than recording weather. And it would make more sense that they knew for a fact it was a spy balloon.
