This country is what you make of it, and yes it is not lost on me that the blacks have had a much tougher go at it than others. However, times are not what they were back in the day. Is it still bad in certain places, yes, but is it as widespread as it was some 60-70 years ago, no. Progress of any kind can often times be a slow pace. Doesn't make it right, but any progress is good progress as opposes to no progress.
The one questions I like to ask people on this topic is, do you feel that the black slaves sold by their own kind are better off to be here in America or better off had they stayed in Africa? no right answer of course, but it is an interesting question. Legislative branch does what? Writes the laws on immigration Judicial branch does what? Rules on the law Executive branch does what? Executes the law So from the ICE director himself: Our job is to enforce the law and Judicial orders. If they dont like it get together and change the laws. Confederate flags do not mean their owners are racist. You must be a city slick? I live out in the boonies and these flags are numerous. I know some owners of these symbols, and they definitely are not racists. It's a history of its own beyond skin color!

Yeah it was also my perception it had become worse since Trump - but in general it seems like you have also become more divided - Clinton was the president you had when I was born - and I can’t see any other of the presidents but Trump pull off an AI stunt where he shits on half your population and the flag - and 30% of your population celebrate it like it is the most cool and badass thing they have ever seen ! As an outsider I have never seen a country that seems so divided before that still want to stay together - it has turned more into a game of “I told you so” rather than the wish to move forward as a combined nation !
