Great timing!! Touched on all the issues. And eviscerated the Republicans talking points, leaving them speechless. The President is hitting his stride and is poised to do great things for all of the American people.

well, he's right about this.  it's crazy how casually some of these politicians talk about sending other people's kids into war to kill brown people.  of course, obama ain't perfect in this category either.

The president also criticized the rhetoric coming from the GOP presidential candidates.

"Now, what's said on the campaign trail -- you know, those folks don't have a lot of responsibilities. They're not commander in chief," he said. "And when I see the casualness with which some of these folks talk about war, I'm reminded of the costs involved in war; I'm reminded of the decision that I have to make, in terms of sending our young men and women into battle, and the impacts that has on their lives, the impact it has on our national security, the impact it has on our economy."

Another highlight was when the President shot down the Fox reporter concerning gas prices. Classic argumentative technique of  controversion.

i don't recall, was obama trying to rally votes by talking about bombing some country?  i thought obama was promising to get the troops out of iraq and afghanistan.

Troops are out of Iraq, and will be out of Afghanistan by the end of 2013...if not before.

i'm not sure where cano is coming from.  i don't recall obama pandering to the warmonger crowd during his first campaign like the republicans are now.  i recall the opposite.

ALL are made up figures or just stats that reflect the biggest Republican recession in history. We are coming out of it. Your job creation stat is, like you, FOS.

Thousands of troops and contractors still in Iraq.  It would be fun to pretend that we were out, but we have created a permanent presence to guard BP's oil fields.  

We should be out of Afghanistan by now, I am highly doubtful that we will make a full withdrawal by Dec of 2013. 


This Obama administration has not differed from the Bush administration One Iota when it comes to military action.  

Except Obama clearly stated that He did not Need the congress, and went to war in LIbya for the "legitimacy of the United Nations", at the request of the Arab League.

Seriously, why don't you go look up what the deficit was when Obama was sworn in, and what it is now?

Same for the debt.

Gas was $1.87 a gallon when Obama was sworn in, that is a fact.
You don't like that fact, but that doesn't make it any less true.

The unemployment rate was 7.8 % when Obama was sworn in, also a fact. It is higher today, which nobody disputes.

You can pretend that we don't have the smallest workforce since 1984, but it is a fact.

yes, getting out or iraq, afghanistan, etc is a fluid concept.  for the recoord, i was talking about what obama said, not what he did, which we all know are often two different thigns when talking about politicians.

That isn't correct. Latest troop count reflects embassy personnel. There are approx. 354 troops there other than Embassy personnel.

The President did the right then in Libya, just as many others before him did in these types of actions.
