The irony of someone who runs to the ballot box based on dislike of a candidates personality judging people who run to the ballot box based on policy, accusing them of voting based on anger and fear, the irony is not lost on me. I'm not sure who "my side" is but I personally don't want illegals in hiding. I want them rounded up and swiftly deported without judicial process. I want Americans returning to the trades. I want incentives for hiring Americans and penalties for hiring illegals. I want a more stringent visa process. I want to stop referring to illegal interlopers as "asylum seekers".

Oh, and by the way. I'm a 17 year union member. And my mother was in a union and raised me pro-union. And most of my inner circle bros are also union brothers. So yeah, I prefer providing a union member a fair wage and conditions rather than hiring an illegal because he's cheap. I accept the cost being passed on to the consumer. Paying people a decent wage does more to stimulate the economy than paying an illegal who sends the majority of his wages over the border.

I did not disparage the union, rather I said that the added cost is passed on and you know that is 100% true, corps do not want to pay any more than they have to and down here these homebuilders have been using fringe/illegal workers for decades to save money.
You cannot in any serious fashion suggest that you can round up the bad segment of illegals, it is beyond silly to suggest that is possible. Does it get voters to the polls? Yup and that is why Vance yammered about it the other day....1.3M crime centered illegals are destroying the country. Well that is hogwash but it is a scheme, a ploy, an election strategy and it works. Down here every single freaking election cycle it is used to get GOP voters elected. There are street signs all over the place here plastered with the fear based illegal nonsense and it feeds on the fear of the uneducated GOP voter, those people do not actually research the situation NOR understand that the concept at face value sounds great but the odds of success are near zero, the cost of the concept is monsterous and the impacts from the concept are awful. There has not been a successful "round up" since that disgusting display that good ole Ike pulled off where Asians were put in camps off the WWII fear, Ike like Trump was a fascist and did not care about the consequences and harm from a sweeping ugly awful action that he made happen.
Under Biden administration, south border encounters have dropped to the lowest levels since 2017-2020. Higher percentage of migrants are removed than during Trump administration according to Pew research. Despite higher numbers of migrants from global displacement crisis and republican opposition to immigration reforms to fix system that has been broken for decades.

This is an absolute lie. The first three years under Biden for the highest three years in history for border encounters by a wide margin. By a chasm. Stop spreading lies.
Let's unpack this post. "Dropped to the lowest levels since 2017-2020." Biden came to office in 2021. So all you are saying is the 2024 is on pace to be the lowest of Biden's 4 years in office? It would be hard not to be after the first three years were all record highs, after record lows under Trump.
The liberal spin cycle at work. Trump takes executive actions to stop illegal immigration. It drops to the lowest numbers in years. Decades. Biden takes office, immediately reverses all of Trumps immigration actions, takes his own executive actions to loosen border regulations, lo and behold, we see all-time highs.
Liberals: Let's call it a global displacement crisis and blame lack of immigration reform.

So they have dropped in the last 5 months, in an election year, after hitting all-time highs in Biden's first 3 years? I can almosy guarantee that 2024 will be one of the highest years on record as well.

I'm sure you're not surprised to learn that I saw things differently & by now I would believe we've seen the same videos. To me it wasn't just the Puerto Rico attempt at humor. I've never seen something so hateful in one of the greatest arenas in our country. It's a place where I grew up going to a rodeo & the circus. In my late teens I would go the Golden Gloves, watch Bruno Sammartino wrestle & the Knicks/Rangers in playoff games. Sadly I believe many Americans don't realize that residents of Puerto Rico are American citizens. That includes people in this forum!

In my lifetime we've never spoken about each other in this manner. After 9 years of the POS being in politics, many in the country having become numb to his ridiculous statements & lies. We are a nation of immigrants. I imagine our family trees have immigrants as it's roots. Think about that for a minute.

Biden sold off the Strategic Oil Reserves in 2022 to keep gasoline prices down before the election. Now this year he throws tariffs on Chinese goods including EV's after Trump made it a talking point. Then he finally does "something" about the border after three years of Oh shucks folks, nothing I can do without Congress.
