It's no misinformation. Numbers don't lie. You can’t have crime rise steadily for several years, then decline from one specified year to the next and just call crime being up misinformation.

That's a fair amount of 2022 through 2023 nationwide FBI data, so it's not like it's a small sample size. 
In the chaotic early months of the Covid pandemic, when the U.S. was also going through the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, violent crime rose across the country.
Murders in 2020 increased at the fastest rate since national statistics began in 1960. Other crimes, like shootings and car thefts, also increased.
The surge in violence left some experts worried that the U.S. might be entering another era of high crime, similar to that of the 1960s through the ’90s.
But the data over the past year has offered a much more optimistic picture.

That's the liberal way. Stay quite when the numbers are up, claim victory when the numbers go lower, forget to check the past to see the average. bahhaaaaa and the sheep will follow. Have to twist the numbers to make it seem like everything is ok. Just trying to pass one more day. Just wait a few months when the big lies keep coming as we get closer to election.

This would appear to be a fact. Unfortunate. Both sides!
Again, it has gotten so bad that this isn't a cause for praise. Is it a start of a trend? We'll see. Let's hope so. However, and with respect to the numbers, where do they compare to 2018? Crime is up in this country. Across the board. Numbers trending downward in 2023 doesn't say much when 2021 and 2022 were two of the worst in recent history in most major cities.
