Worst public health crisis in a century has brought an infodemic of fake news and conspiracy theories from people opposed to scientists, governments, doctors, lockdowns, masks and vaccines.  This has hindered the effort to save lives.  In pandemic, better coordination between medical community, governments and mass media is vital to minimize the spread of disinformation. and thereby better engage the public in following correct guidelines.  Unfortunately, distrust is disastrous as US has the most covid cases and deaths of any country in the world in 2020.

Correlation isn't causation.  Higher probability of injuries caused by reasons unrelated to vaccination.  For years, professional sports have become faster and harder.  Trainers have been calling the alarm about increasing injuries.  Pandemic lockdowns lead to shorter post season and less time for athletes to recover.  For vast majority of people, vaccines are safe and effective.  Usually minor symptoms lasting for a few days.  Severe reactions are very rare.  Vaccine benefits far outweigh risks.  Covid disease is worse than vaccination. 

US center for disease control recommends vaccination for everyone except people allergic to vaccine ingredients.  Vaccines are safe for people with weakened immune systems plus pregnant mothers and their babies.  Even people previously infected can benefit from extra protection.

There are no shortcuts.  All vaccines must meet safety standards and pass testing in clinical trials involving tens of thousands of subjects in several countries.  Normally, vaccines require years of development and monitoring.  But covid vaccines became available in less time because of huge investment, international efforts and advanced technology already developed over years.  Due to urgency of pandemic, Food drug administration and European medicine agency gave emergency approval so that vaccination can begin as soon as possible.  Emergency vaccines eventually receive full approval after a few years of monitoring.

Fact checker Snopes rates false the claim that 4 pilots died from vaccination.  British airways and families of the deceased reject secondhand rumors that the deaths of 4 pilots are linked.  Actually, one pilot died from coronavirus while another died from internal bleeding at mountain bike site.  Conspiracy theorists often blame any death on vaccines despite no evidence.

Not mentioned is that most deaths are among vaccinated people over 50 years of age.  Despite 95% vaccine effectiveness, some older people remain vulnerable because of weaker immune systems.  Most of the unvaccinated are young people who are scheduled for later vaccination.  UK health department still recommends vaccination of population to protect millions of lives.

I would guess 90% of the population is vitamin D deficient. As we have moved indoors, and embraced sedentary lifestyles, even white people aren't getting enough Vit D from the sun. Unless you're not only white but of Northern European descent and you're a farmer, or a construction worker, or a surf bum, or a bum bum, chances are you are Vit D deficient, unless you are taking a supplement.
