That merger was always going to happen because Larry Ellison is Larry Ellison. And as I have said many times, this country is a corporate oligarchy. It definitely was a huge factor though but also, as I said, late night talk is a dead format. Those shows were on borrowed time anyway. Doesn't make any of this right. Jimmy Kimmel was a talentless hack. No one has ever made more with such little talent. Doesn't mean he deserves to go out like this but Nexstar made the call. They said they wouldn't air it. They own all the ABC affiliates. Disney had no choice.

He's demonized first and foremost cause he shot a man in the neck.

I think in trying to understand why (he shot a man in the neck) the two sides were super eager to blame eachother (real life not here per se)

Then in learning more we learn of the circumstances which are both:

Different and explanatory 

Other than labeling him as such, don't see too much judgment for his preferences.......outside of them causing or contributing to his shooting a man in the next.

Former capitol police officer Michael Fanone says no American politician has done more to normalize political violence in the US other than Trump.  By pardoning hundreds of rioters convicted of assaulting police on January 6 2021.  Trump uses Kirk's death to sow more division and advocate for violence instead of uniting the country.  

Edison and the rest of you Kool-Aid drinking craziods I noticed "The American Comeback Tour" was on all 4 sides of his tent. In 44 years YOU have destroyed the middle class. Corporate,Government and Personal debt at all time levels.No coming back from that. In 2 generations you destroyed yourself. Amazing that you didn't see it coming. More guns than people not a good sign either. Comeback Tour my *ss. In 1981 2/3 of your country were in the middle class and thriving. Fund a college education on a weekend job because Education was cheap. Now, Students carry debt for 30 years and can't afford to buy a roof over their heads. I could list 15  more things that lead to your demise but I will leave that to the non- drinkers to come up with the rest and post. If you choose to not follow history so be it. 21 families run your country the wise thing would be not to fight amongst yourselves, FIND them and get back from the brink of civil war. yes. Sorry for the typo. Correction. Twiggs. His imaginary friends call him Twiggies. Anyone heard from Twiggies or any of his friends yet by the way? Any sitings of this person in Utah over the last few days or images of him and Robinson on a date previously? Gaming convention, Furry convention or bar together? 

Damn good post brother.  I was raised in Christian faith in my youth and got out of that insanity when I hit adulthood.  The amount of sheer hypocrisy that runs rampant is beyond abhorrent.  I guess since Jesus died for their sins they decide to get the most out of it.  I applaud those Christians who actually adhere to their faith and practice it honorably but those are few and far between.

 The latest kimmel gaffe was probably just the excuse they needed to dump him.

Late-night talk was already in a transitional period. They are axing shows anyway. It's just a dead format. High production costs, most of which is eaten up by the hosts salary. And people just don't watch TV in the same way. Jimmy was on borrowed time. Never in entertainment has someone made so much with so little talent. Jimmy kimmel wasn't funny. He wasn't a comedian like Leno, Letterman, etc. He didn't have the swag of a Carson, or a Craig Ferguson. He was a horrible interviewer. He's an all around bad presenter. This summer, we had tried to watch Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? but my wife couldn't get past just how horrible he was at hosting.

Literally the worst late-night talk show host in 40 years of late night talk. Dude literally has no talent. I have always watched late night talk shows, since I was a little kid. Always was a night owl. I can only speak from the mid 80's on but in that time, he was by far the worst. And that's including short loved stints. They should give permanent hosting duties to Chris Destefano. I caught a couple of his guest host episodes. He wasn't fantastic but showed potential. And at least he's a stand up comedian. Jimmy was a radio host. Fell as backwards into the man show. Adam Carolla carried him there. He gets this gig and the rest was history. He has always been really bad though. Like, if you aren't naturally funny,  you have to at least be good at interviewing guest. He was absolute dogshit at interviewing guest.

I don't believe anyone should be fired for that reason per se but I don't feel bad for him because he is so gawd awful.

 I only had to watch once/twice to figure out he was poop. I'm amazed they carried him this long.

I hope one day they will write a book about Americans' interpretation of "free speech" because it's strange. I used to think it meant you could say what you wanted as long as I agreed with you, if not I'll sue you! Now, it means, "I will hunt you down, make you lose your job, and, if I'm in the mood, kill you." It's quite telling that you gave up that constitutional right just because it happened to someone without talent. But no amount of killing can make you give up the constitutional right that mention guns, even though it's been proven that you don't use it when troops are unlawfully stationed in your states. (And wasn't that the reason it was in the Constitution in the first place?) Make it make sense.

That is just because you agree with this one - next one you might not and then you don’t have free speech anymore ! - With your definition in mind every country on planet earth have “free speech” - and then I would question why you would need to write that “right” down

US constitution second amendment is outdated.  Original purpose of right to own gun is to prevent tyranny.  Now guns are less effective than elections in preventing tyranny because of modern security or military.  Instead guns endanger public health.  Also perverse for gun right to undermine free speech right by killing people.  Without gun right, other countries have more freedom than the US.

 You're right, we need guns for tyranny right NOW. Can't believe we agree! Tyranny has been much worse prior to 2024. Glad I have every one of my weapons! By the way, I'm 64 and have never pointed a gun at a human. Should I lose my guns due to some mental retard?

Many of those interpretations listed begin from positions of misunderstanding.  It'd be hard to rectify or have meaningful dialog with where you are.

Actually I would say, based on the text exchange, that Robinson was infatuated with Twiggs but Twiggs reaction shows little emotion in return. Of course that's all satire in your world.
