Best Country in the World: ...USA ranked much lower than our Canadian neighbors

Your feelings get hurt so very easily. The topic is how great Canada is while at the same time their supposed elected leader feigns a positive covid exposure in order to not greet and meet the 1000's of truckers in Ottawa. Pretty weak and pathetic in my opinion.

Canadian trucking alliance supports vaccination and opposes convoy of fringe minority truckers.  90% of cross border truckers are vaccinated.  Governments in US and Canada have made being vaccinated a requirement to cross the border.  This regulation is unlikely to change.

And..... 

How does this change the FACT that the following is a reality that is happening in this moment... 

According to Guinness World Records, the longest truck convoy ever recorded was 7.5 km long, in Egypt in 2020.

There are estimates the Canadian convoy could comprise 50,000 trucks from the West, East, and even from the United States. It’s difficult to speculate what will transpire in the days ahead.

“It’s 70 km long,” said Benjamin Dichter, spokesman for the Freedom Convoy 2022. “I have seen footage from an airplane. It’s impressive.”

By Wednesday, truckers hope to have taken their protest through to Manitoba and will make it to southern Ontario on Friday.

It looks like Ottawa could be swamped with long-haul trucks on Jan. 29. But with winter weather and potential issues, including possible roadblocks or traffic snarls, time will tell.

Whatever happens, it won’t be for lack of support.

Thousands of Canadians have lined the route, cheered from overpasses and offered to feed drivers in their homes and restaurants.

It’s a grassroots demonstration that has become far bigger than anything organizers had envisioned.

With that comes problems. Media reports said a GoFundMe campaign for the convoy, which had surpassed $5 million by Wednesday morning, had been frozen by GoFundMe.

What is the highest ranking the US has ever received on this esteemed list?  

Do we have past years to compare this to?  Say 1998 for example, where would we rank?  Or 2010 for example?  Just looking for a year to use as a bench mark comparison to what 2020 and 2021 were.  

I'm sure you know this already because you two know everything but this "list" that you put so much credence in only goes back to 2016, your favorite President's first year in office...

Canada is a fine country. Visited many times over the decades. Have several friends there (including covers members) and two relatives. The U.S.NEWS is a credible medium but I have to wonder how much the 2020 pandemic affected their 2021 rankings for the U.S.   If not for covid I believe we would be ranked higher.

First, speaking in the third person distances you from your actions.  Posting in the third person on social media may be more common if you have post-traumatic stress disorder because it helps you to emotionally distance yourself from trauma. However, if you are a world leader, using the third person takes on an ominous tone.

When a gaslighter/narcissist speaks in the third person, his statement is said as if it is coming from a supporter.  When his quote is published in the media, readers scanning the news may see just the quote and assume it is attributable to someone else. This then gives the quote more credibility. It then becomes apocryphal. It is a form of spreading propaganda. Gaslighters/narcissists speak with the intention that a lie will be heard so many times that it will become the truth and that their use of the third person gives their quotes more clout.

If gaslighters/narcissists feel that not enough people are praising them (they commonly and unrealistically feel this way), they praise themselves. It can be a form of self-soothing, a reassurance to the gaslighter/narcissist that he is worthy of adoration.

The gaslighter/narcissist, who is notorious for lying, may tell you that he never talked about himself in the third person—he will tell you that you must be mistaken, that was a quote from someone else. Gaslighters/narcissists will stick with this story even when you have video proof of their use of the third person.

Have you ever heard someone talk about themselves in the third person? That’s something called illeism, and while it’s probably a fair bet that not too many are familiar with this term, most of us have probably heard someone talk this way at one time or another.

Lastly, it’s not so much how someone references themselves that will reveal their narcissism but rather how they regard and refer to you. If someone’s repeatedly ignoring, disregarding, or stepping all over your feelings (even if they claim it’s not “intentional”), or acting like you don’t exist, don’t count, or especially, don’t compare, you’re probably dealing with a narcissist, or at least someone with a fair degree of narcissism in their character. So, if you’re involved with someone who has the unusual habit of referring to themselves in the third person, beware for sure, but don’t necessarily panic. Be less concerned with how they reference themselves and more concerned about how they regard you and the other people in their lives. That’s the surer test of their character.

At LEAST one spot improvement to narrow the diff!   Don't know at this point if other countries could also improve significant enough to overtake the U.S. and widen the gap
