Sigh. Online poker will always be rigged for those that cant win. Its an easy scapegoat when you lack the fundamental understanding of the game and consistently lose. Life is rigged, get over it.

Online poker has already been proven to be fraudulent. There have been multiple sites who have gotten caught cheating (Ultimate Bet, Absolute, ETC).
While this is very true, I think it was a positive exposure for the online poker players as it created a level of transparency that sites are now aware of.
Read the story as it unfolded by the person(s) who exposed UB/Absolute here.
In addition to that, if you are still in doubt over sites being rigged, there are multiple other options where you can "cheat" or have an advantage. You can have multiple players at a table that you know, and communicate with them through chat or on the phone. Also, you can set up multiple accounts and play as multiple players at the same table.
Once again, very true. You run the same risk playing in a live game. Rounders anyone? Game selection is key.
You can also hit and run. In live games, a player would be frowned upon and looked down upon if they showed up to a table and left as soon as he hit a decent hand. They definitely wouldn't be allowed to hop around to different tables. This happens from time to time online. There is nothing to stop it.
True, though in live poker I have never felt an obligation to stay at a table for etiquettes sake when my money is on the line. The biggest danger here is shortstackers and theyre easy to spot and adjust play against.
There are also bots. This is a huge advantage, as bots do not get tired, go on tilt, or make plays on emotion. Bots are real.
Bots are real and easily exploitable. I love playing bots esp if I have stats on them and dont have to figure out their parameters.
In addition, there has also been evidence of players going through other players hand history. Learning their tendencies and capitalizing off of it.
Hand history trackers like Poker Tracker and Holdem Manager are essential parts of the online game. This is the main discrepancy btwn live and online play. Not illegal or frowned upon in any way. I do know a few live players who keep meticulous notes on their sessions including VERY specific player profiles and HH.
Just way too many cons and not enough pros to even waste the time and energy into online poker.
To each his own, I will keep playing as long as its profitable for me. Maybe I got lucky and got on the sunny side of the 'rigged' game. (Though I have a feeling its the research, recordkeeping, and education.) GL to you all, I cant believe I just wasted 10 mins contributing to another 'poker is rigged' debate but for the most part people on this forum seem intelligent. I know 95% of you will ignore me like ostriches with your heads in the sand but hopefully the other 5% get something out of this.

Accepted. Yes every point you made is fact, its knowing how to make it work to your advantage. Like I said above, maybe Im the luckiest guy on the face of the planet but Ill keep playing until its -EV for me. I think the biggest problem is most players extrapolate assumptions based on a very small sample size.
I assume your a capper, would you create a model of of 1 season of metrics? No. I guarantee most 'poker is rigged' proponent has logged less than 200k hands and quit when they lost their BR having their aces cracked playing a game way above their bankroll and skill level.
