it's rigged.  anyone that plays online anything other than sports games is going to lose, maybe not initially(that's how they reel you in), but eventually, you will lose.

chance....get your head out of your ass...or what book do you work for?

I agree completely. If YOU cant win, it must be rigged. Im just on a lucky streak, the computer must have programmed me to win for  a while but as soon as they "flip the switch" Im fucked and I'll lose it all back. Damn, thanks for clearing that up, I've actually been paying my bills with this shit for over 6 months now but Im gonna quit now that I read your post. Your proof is overwhelming

I also notice when a flop comes out something like 9, 10, Q then you better believe a J will hit the river half the time because they also want chasers to think they can hit their ridiculous draws.

    ah this idiotic argument again
anything  above 1/2 limit is almost always capped any time there is a flop bet
so i guess they just rig the lower games right?

If you think my points are idiotic then you're entitled to your opinion. My opinion is that you are idiotic and naive if you truly believe that every card dealt in online poker is random. Nobody is talking about limit poker either. In limit poker there is no fold equity so you can expect to have bad beats put on you. No Limit is more a game of math and then luck. All I can do is put my chips in with the best hand, which I do a high percentage of the time unless short stacked and in push and pray mode. However when I get my chips in with the best hand I still often lose. I'm not saying this stuff as a person that doesn't win either. I win but get fucked over with the most absurd losses. amikec281 on PokerStars and mikec20311 on Full Tilt. OPR shows me with a 38% ROI in MTT's at Full Tilt and Sharksope shows a 17% ROI in SNG's at Pokerstars. I have won but I'm still not naive enough to think this stuff isn't rigged.

Hahah as I'm reading this thread I just river'ed a two outer on two guys to knock them out.  I'm sure they are crying that online poker is rigged right now.

Selective memory is a terrible problem for a lot of players.  People tend to forget when they hit ridiculous cards to win huge pots.  They will either shrug it off, completely forget about it, or change the memory later to something that involved them outplaying the other players.  People will instead remember every bad beat they took and make wild claims about the game being rigged.

You see bad beats more often online because more hands are played per hour than in a casino. Depending on the limits you are playing online you may see more bad beats because players will go in with worse cards and get lucky every now and then.

I have no way of proving that online poker is or is not rigged, but in my opinion it is not at all rigged.

    First post, thanks.

example of possible rigging--deposited (over a 2 year period)  $1000 at absolute poker - 2n place best finish-- world sports exchange $800  won a tournament-- bodog, full tilt, poker stars, carbon - deposited less then $80-never placed better then 100 th place-- i play same style and never have a chance in the last 4 poker sites

so basically the sites you win at arent rigged but the sites you dont win at are rigged. Youve convinced me!!!!! Those last 4 sites HAVE to be rigged if YOURE not winning there!!!!!! Theres no other explanation!!!!

how do you explain getting bad beats after bad beat to end a tournament EVERY  time. and it is not like i am losing with AA we are talking like a player holding 4-7 and end up getting a straight after betting a large amount preflop with that shity hand-- CHANCE what site do you WIN  your money at. i consistently play daily and the four sites above are RIGGED say what you want but the numbers just dont jive

This is why your complaint has little merit is because of your gross exaggerations and generalizations. Also, if youre doing your job you will always get sucked out more than vice versa because youre rarely going in with the worst hand. I understand your frustration, we've all been there. But you havent lost every tourney online ever by bad beat, regardless of what you wanna believe

With that said, I play at FullTIlt. I

1 more thing, what kind of games do you play? Maybe youre not sittin in the right gmaes therefore relying too heavily on the cards. I was an average MTT tourny player at best, but then when I switched to 1-on-1s the whole world changed for me. I was basically an "online is rigged' guy also tilll I got my game in order.

I agree and I evenapologize from time to time. But its gets real old to see people on here making claims with absolutely no statistical or any kind of evidence to back up theirclaims other than "wow, that happens too much it seems, right????" Then when I, someone who basically lives online and has played more hands online than 99.9% of the people on this site, comes on and tries to explain to them whats actually happeneing they just dismiss it as rubbish and feel their 50 hours of online experience negates anything my 25,000 hours of play has to say. Its just they blame the site for why theyre not winning saying it has to be rigged "if theyre not winning" They never look in the mirror, just have to find an excuse as to why they cant win. So you have to understand when me and my friends who do this for a living read this garbage its kinda hard to give these excuse-makers much respect, especially when hey dont want to listen to someone who does it for a living, theyd rather listen to "joe six-pack" at the sports bar on friday night

I have been playing online for 4 years and feel it is definitely rigged.  Oh lord the ridicousness, it's like they flip a switch.  Bottom line is the technology is 100% there to rig it perfectly and the regulations are not, do the math.
