I have two big problems with the "it's rigged" theories. First off, NONE of the "it's rigged" claims have any statistical validity and secondly they could keep new players from playing the game.

"I can't win"- Most estimates hold that only 10% of poker players are winning players. So, 90% of the time, YOU are one of the players who is going to lose in the long run. Poker is a tough game. At low limits, even "winning" players aren't good enough to overcome the rake. The "greatest player in the world" couldn't beat a 2/4 LHE game in the long term. The rake just takes too much money off the table at those stakes.

"Magical Cards" and "Bad Beats"- Pocket Aces is an 80% favorite over pocket fours if all the money goes in before the flop. Twenty times out of 100 the aces are going to lose (or the pot will be split). People lose with aces three times in a row and think that it's a big deal. Big hands get cracked all day, erry day. It's not magic. Every time there is a showdown, some one will lose. Barring split pots, of every player in the universe who is going to showdown "right now", half of them are going to lose with a hand they thought was a winner.

Most serious players would agree that you need 20k hands before you can get close to estimating your true win rate. Ten buy in downswings are common to even winning players. I've heard of some winning players, players with established win rates over 100k hands, having 50k break even stretches. What happens to an individual over 100, 1000, or even 4000 hands is insignificant.

its a fact: only under 10% of all online pokerplayers are winning players on the long run. and most of the losing players dont even recognize they are losing.you have to keep track of your results and analyze your game constantly. one session, one day or one week dont define if you're winning or losing. 20k hands is the minimum samplesize you need for analyzing your game.

if you start playing online you have to adjust your game, online is way more aggressive than live poker and you will witness way more bluffing. especially on the lower levels.

also you have to get used to way more bad beats, since you play tons of more hands/hour. live:maybe 30-40 hands/hour online it could easily be (depending on how many tables you play) 300-400

about tracking software i can just say this is not a big factor, many use it but it's especially useful to keep track of your own play. and it helps working on your flaws more than anything else. after playing some weeks on the same site and the same level you will know many of your opponents and their playing style so no real need for a hud.

POKER IS NOT RIGGED - but when you're on a downswing and and your AA don't hold up 3 times in a row and your KK wont win neither and when you are all in with the better hand your opponent hits his 1outer on the river, it is hard to believe. but its all just variance!!!

    good cards

What happens to an individual over 100, 1000, or even 4000 hands is insignificant.

i win online, have, and will consistently. Sorry you havent been able to win online but you really shouldnt make such FALSE, ridiculous statements like noone wins online. Its just sheer stupidity and theres proof everywhere you look that proves it.

So your opinion is wrong, and its not debateable. You have your opinion, I have facts. Once again, sorry youre not good enough to beat the online game, that must suck

This kind of uneducated arrogance, lack of understanding of basic variance, and basic poker inexperience is why online poker will ALWAYS be profitable.

    Thanks

look up my screennames on any tracking site anytime u wish pal, theres all the proof you need. Also, calling someone a 16 r old just cuz you were proven wrong is pretty weak. Stick to sports dude, at least you know what youre talkin about there. Youve played once online and youre gonna tell me "how it is."  Thats just laughable. Like I said, stick to sports

ahh fuck it, I can just post here

    sharkscope.com - check it out

    Fulltilt : RIVERH8SME , Floppy McShove, CHANCEPAYNE1

    Pokerstars : RIVERH8SME

People do win online whether you wanna believe it or not. Does it seemed rigged at times? Absolutely, POKER seems rigged at times. Ive gotten just as "fucked" LIVE as I have online, thats just poker.

So I apologize for being rude but when you come on and say you "only played once" and you wanna make these completely false statements when you have ZERO experience other than your ONE experience its just rubs me the wrong way. You know absolutely nothing about the topic yet you make these statements and then insult me for not believing your bullshit. I know countless people who make money and a living online so, again, you just have absolutely no clue what youre talking about.

I just hope after you see youre wrong you come back like a man and admit it instead of disappearing like a little bitch. Im still wondering which road you'll choose

lol now ur "not gonna waste your time." All you rigged guys are the same, spout your bullshit, then when you get proven wrong youre "not gonna waste your time." You say we both have our "opinions" but really yours is a false belief that the internet is rigged and that noone wins and mine is "fact" that it isnt and that many people win. I have statistical evidence to back my "opinion" up and you just have a bunch of bad beat stories.

Ive seen you here for a while and I know youre an avid sports bettor and a good guy. It just pisses me off when people like you come on and start spouting bullshit about something you have no idea about and the arrogance that you display while spouting your stupidity on the topic is just all the more ridiculous. The thing is, when I first started playing poker I felt the same way you do. I watched it on TV, played the home games, and went to the casino often and thought I really knew how to play. I mean, how could I not? Id watched every episode of the WSOP on ESPN!!! Just like you have!!! So every weekend it seemed to be the same bullshit story online, do great all nite and then take some ridiculous beat at the end of the nite to go bust. I figured "oh well, I play awesome I just always get fucked." I was gonna quit playing cuz I figured it was rigged or I was just "too unlucky" or both. But I keep seeing these same guys winning over + over and I knew who they were (aka not "schills" or "bots") and it just made me think "what the fuck are they doing that Im not?"

So I joined a training site (cardrunners) and watched some of the videos of how the "pros" played and realized I really didnt know what I was doing. Not even necessarilt the big pots I was butchering but so many little things here and there that all add up. Basically just a different way of looking at the game, realizing its a grind and not just something you can "go sit down for a few hours and make $ kicking ass" I started managing my bankroll, not playing over my head, NOT STEAMING, and you know what I found out? ITS A FUCKING GRIND AND YOU GOTTA REALLY WORK HARD TO MAKE A LITTLE BIT OF MONEY. Your edge as a "winning player" is not nearly as big as people think it is. I play 1-on-1s for my money and my goal is to win 60% of my matches, which is great. But if I asked the avg guy how many times they think I should win theyd say 80, which is ridiculous since aces are only an 80% favorite over a random hand basically. Then I started reading the books and visiting the poker forums and discussing tough hands and how to play them and such. So many of these situations come up daily and the vast majority of players will continue to misplay these situations leaving them at the mercy of the one "beat" that destroys them. All they'll remember is the beat but they dont remember how they misplayed a few hands earlier and maybe they wouldnt have been in that spot or would have a big enou8gh stack to withstand the blow, etc etc.

My whole point is this. If you wanna be a consistent longterm winner at poker you gotta work hard at it. Watching WSOP on TV and playing in your buddies garage every friday with 8 other shitty players doesnt really make you "elite" as many of you feel. If youre not winning at poker over a descent sample size then youre just not as good as you think you are, PERIOD. Noone "runs bad" forever. Myself and a few friends of mine have really worked hard at poker to get where we are, albeit not ballers or anything but winning players, and its just very irritating when people come on with their little to no experience online and wanna tell me "how it is." Itd be like being an auto mechanic and having a guy come in who had changed oil ONCE and telling you all about your prfession. Itd be ridiculous but thats basically what youve done here Powerade. Imean seriously you said youve played "once." How in the world if you were me and had the experience and results I do online react to such nonsense? Some clown who has played once is telling you "noone wins online" when youve crushed fulltilt for almost 60K the last 2 years??? Its like "gimme a fucking break." Then you spout about needing proof, I provide, then all of a sudden you "dont wanna waste yourr time." Pretty pathetic to say the least man. Everythng you said is total hogwash, I proved it, and now youre acting "above the discussion" Like I said, laughable.

Not trying to get into a pissing contest with you. I just wouldnt go the NHL forum or wherever you hang and start spouting about this and that cuz I lost my ass once when I was clueless on the topic and thats, well, pretty much what you did here. Im sure you prolly "dont have time" anymore this but oh well. We all know you would have had I not provided "evidence"

Itd be like being an auto mechanic and having a guy come in who had changed oil ONCE and telling you all about your prfession.

Was looking for you under floppy past couple of months with no luck maybe this weekend i will find you at tilt weejkdays too tired to play with waking up at 4 in the morning.
