So Electric, what do you think about these collusions? Do you feel that 3 or 4 good players working together could destroy a 9 or 10 player table?

I know for a fact that I have played against some teams in the past. Everynight you would have the same 3 people at the same $5/$10 no limit table and they rarely ever went up against each other, and they always would be up from the minimum that you were allowed to start with. I would play a few hands and then move on to the next table or jus completely avoid them all together.

After a few hours the same trio would be at one of the $10/$20 tables. It was so obvious, but yet all 3 guys were from different parts of the U.S. so how can you truely prove anything?

I dont think 3 or 4 players could DESTROY a 9 person table as you say no. I think it gives them a slight advantage but if its that obvious why dont you report them or not sit at their tables. If theyre colluding it will be obvious to the security team when you email them. But yes I think colluding is an issue for sure, it gives people an unfair advantage but nowhere near how big you think it does. With that said that doesnt mean I feel its ok by any means.

However, im argiuing mostly here with majawaja cuz he feels the site is "rigging the hands for action", employing "cash out curses" , and "always being a spot where it programmed a bad beat" or something. All his "theories" are complete and utter bullshit and he knows it, yet he has to try and justify his shitty game somehow.

But as far as collusion I think it gives them a little advantage but not that big at all and you feel it gives them a HUGE one. Either way thats fine, Im not gonna argue with you about that. My question is, like I said, why not report or avoid these people then? Reporting them obviously being the first choice, if theyre truly colluding and ALWAYS at the same tables like you say it doesnt matter where theyre from the security team will spot it. Secondly though, as far as how big of an advantage it gives you, If you feel its such an advantage and uncatchable then why not do it yourself??? If you can totally DESTROY a 9 man table with 3 people then get two of your buddies and OWN!!!! But you havent. Maybe you just feel its unethical and thats cool I agree, then report the bastards doing it!!!!

But anyways again, I dont doubt or deny for a second that people have superused and that collusion goes on. But when a moron like majawaja starts in with all his cash out curses and garbage then Im gonna say something lol

A lot of online poker sites are rigged in the sense that fair play, statistical odds, and a true-to-life outcome is realistically stripped away from the program due to the algorithms used by the poker sites.

These algorithms will determine the outcome of winning hands and force certain players to win while other players lose even though they had the best hand preflop or on the turn. The algorithms and subroutines used by all major poker sites create the problems of overwhelming bad beats and suckouts in an attempt to make the game appear realistic, to induce action, and to give the impression the game is fair to all.

it is the way the poker sites are rigged to produce winning hands and it is an indisputable fact. The bottom line is simply that internet poker sites are a computer generated program. Moreover, that program can be manipulated by anyone who knows the code of the subroutines and algorithms. New players are given artificial luck to begin with and the list goes on.

Now, take it for what its worth. Before electric asks for real proof. The bots and collusions have been the cases that became known to the public Do you think if I or others had conclusive proof and evidence, that some of these sites will still be operating or it wouldn't be leaked? This is the reality of online poker unfortunately.

So if all this is "common knowledge" and with all the tracking software and all the super intelligent #s people that play online isnt is just amazing that noone has come forth with any proof??? You make all these accusations of unfair decks and odds not being true yet there are millions and millions of hands tracked by PT3 pwners and others and noone has come out with some staistical evidence that shows its all bullshit like you say? Noone?? Or are you gonna tell me theyre all paid to keep quiet or locked ina  dungoen somewhere??

You make all these claims, :I know this" and "I know that" when in reality you dont know anything. All these people in the world who would LOVE to bring online poker down and all these odds dont stand up like they should yet noone has proved it. Yeah dude, you make a lot of sense. Just stop already.

Its common knowledge to me, not everyone.

The algorithms and subroutines are designed.. well not by an idiot, Like I said, the algorithms are designed to avoid severe patterns, the algorithms need to try to make the system seem as fair as possible, such that PT can't essentially catch any long term irregular patterns. You may see slightly more flushes or str8s come up, nothing really conclusive. The subroutines work to even out the balance.

Maybe in time, something may be leaked but do you realize how hard it can be to get such proof? A handful may know the big picture within a company but to provide conclusive proof, its not a small task. If poker sites are benefiting tremendously from these systems, why would the few that know step up and accuse their company?

Either way, I read only one of the poker sites gets their integrity/credibility checked by a third party. Almost all these sites don't get audited the way they should be audited. Hopefully, we can get more assurance in the future if these sites are evaluated on a more assuring level. I still like online poker, Ive just accepted it for what it is.

Its not that. In the long haul, great players will still win money. Usually requires grinding it out for an extended period of time. Look, if everything was fair, all the good players would wipe out the donks, And so forth but the algorithms are designed to prevent very long streaks, depending how good you may be. Without the algorithms, the good players would prob be winning even more money but the system slows down some of the better players during stretches, balances other players  as well to create more rake and bring artificial hope to keep donkeys playing.

hey majawaja, don't waste your time. as you should be able to tell by now, especially from this quote here, you're dealing with a dunce who is to far gone in the clouds wih his fantasy world. it is common knowledge to most about how the cards are manipulated on these sites for action, newbies, etc., if youve played long enough.

just trying to save you some frustration.

Electricladylnd is the only person on this thread that is making any sense at all, and maybe that guy that is concerned about collusion makes a decent point too.  all these comments about the poker sites programming in bad beats and cash out curses are bullshit.

"but the system slows down some of the better players during stretches"

what?  or maybe they just get a bad run of cards like everyone else and they suffer a bad beat every once in a while like everyone else.

Also, why would they spend money to make a separate system to track players and decide whether or not they are good?  how do they know they're good?  just because they make money?  or are they just one of the ones on the right side of "all the bad beats"?  So you're saying that they track players that win money, and instead of letting them move up to higher stakes where they will provide higher rakes, they decide to chop them down a bit to even things out?  Oh wait, they do that to give donks hope, right?  or maybe they give deposit bonuses and free rolls to give donks hope (oh wait no, that'd be legal, so they must be doing illegal things).

So you think they are fixing hands so that donks who call preflop with Q4 suited hit a flush on the river against your aces.  how'd they know that donk would call all the way to the river though?  do they have programs that analyze their psychology and decide that at this time of night, after this run of play, this donk will definitely call all-in with Q4 suited? and we'll give that good player MajaWaja aces and really screw him!  Sweet dude, High Five programmer buddy, we just upped our rake potential by .000000000000000000000000000001%.  we did?  how?  i don't know, do you?  no, but the king of online poker said we had to do this illegal thing anyway.

remember, IT DOESN'T MATTER TO THE POKER SITE WHO WINS AND WHO LOSES!  THEY GET THE SAME RAKE NO MATTER WHAT.  so why would they go through the trouble of illegally manufacturing some special program to make YOU lose money while someone else makes it.  if they switched it around, they'd make the same amount.  so why do YOU lose and HE wins?  How do i become a HE?  do i get a lucky account?

Or do you claim that they let YOU win for a little while HE loses, and then they switch it after you cash out or something?

What about this claim of programming in "Action Cards" in tournaments or "all-in hands" in sit-n-gos.  This is RETARDED.  if they wanted you to finish the tournament quicker, they'd make turbo tournaments.  OH WAIT, THEY DO!  holy crap, they decided to make the tournament quicker LEGALLY instead of ILLEGALLY.  amazing.  if they still want you to get eliminated quicker, they'd make Knockout tournaments where they'd be incentivizing you to go all-in more often.  OH WAIT, THEY DO!  If they still wanted you to get eliminated earlier, they'd make the blinds go up even faster, like super turbo.  OH WAIT, THEY DO!  or maybe they make the ante's really big so that people go all in faster - OH WAIT, THEY DO!

what the fuck is the point of doing something illegal to get you to give them a rake faster?  They have all these ways of doing it legally.

MajaWaja and Soblatant, i'm sorry, but you two have no clue.  You are getting frustrated with Electricldyland because he's unable to "expand his brain" or something.  But he's right.  the quicker you realize it, the better.  You're talking like people who think George Bush put a car bomb in the world trade.

I would actually comment in this thread but it would hurt my brain and my IQ would drop 10% instantly there are so many stupid posts here.

I'm just thankfull that since 2001 the powers that be have decided to leave my accounts alone and let me win the same per hand amount that I have won Live in that time.

Well I am not sure if it is rigged or just more geared to generate action, but have a look at this.

Last night I am in some tourney and in 30th out of 160 in chips.  Chip leader to our right been raising 600 each hand with 200 bb.  He just moved to table and has done this every hand for 15 straight hands until he decides to raise all of his 25k in chips with 200bb.

Why does he do that?  I am not sure but I have KK in my hand. I almost folded because it was so shady.  How shady you ask? Shady like me having pocket queens, flopping q77 and losing to river 7 in the cash game for 250 earlier that day.  Or shady like being dealt AA23 ds in high low NL Omaha 6 hands in a row only to be put all in each hand by weak hands to lose every one of them for close to 900 dollars.

I made the call in the tourney and of course the guy had aces.  Why would the guy who never raises more than 600 put all chips in middle? Who would call his bet anyway?  Blinds only 200 and he has whole table stacked.  Only a set up hand would force him to do that right??  Wouldn't he want some action with aces?

You be the judge.  I am done though.

Really?  Reeaaaaally?  AA23 double suited 6 hands in a row and lose them all?  Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally?  so not only did you get them 6 hands in a row, but you got callers to all your raises preflop 6 times in a row AND you lost 6 hands in a row?  like lost both the high and the low?  you never got 25% of the pot with the nut low?  Did this really happen or are you exaggerating a bit?
