 I believe that if a human dies of other causes and had covid at the time , they label that as a covid death … 

also the flu kills a lot of people too why isn’t that being pushed at treated as such ?

I don't think that many people are actually watching a ton of CNN and MSNBC. I think when people encounter an opinion they disagree with, their automatic response is, "You must've got that from CNN." Maybe they didn't get it from CNN. Maybe it's just what they believe. I know a ton of ultra liberal people. I only know one that sits around all day watching CNN. Used to be two but my mother-in-law doesn't watch that shit anymore. I think I broke her out of it. On the flip side, I've known a ton of people who binge watch Fox News. And it's all terrible. All cable news. All shit you read on social media. These aren't truth warriors. They are just schmucks trying to get hits by any means necessary.

I think people get their talking points from somewhere, then it's word of mouth. I had a co-worker tell me her daughter got covid, she thought her daughter was a goner and when the mom tested positive, she thought she was as well. Then her daughter got better and the mom said she was isolating herself so she didn't give it right back to her daughter again. I explained about antigens and how once you got it and recovered from it, you were less likely to get it or get is nearly as bad.  You don't hear about this on most of the media. You do hear about it on Fox News. 

It's not all terrible, like all media you have to weed through it. They run their shows daily, often needing to fill time with garbage.

Binge watching never a good thing, especially if your gullible. 

And don't think major networks are more inclined to report the news without selecting their words carefully to get their spin on it.

Historically, all pandemics eventually become endemic after several years.  That is, sufficient population immunity emerges or virus evolves into a less deadly variant.  Hospitals are no longer overwhelmed and low number of deaths become acceptable as society learn to live with the virus.  For example, there has been more influenza pandemics than covid pandemics in the past. 

2021 is the beginning, 2022 the middle stage while 2023 may see the worst of the pandemic over.  Public health experts consider vaccination the only way to end the pandemic since it is the safest and fastest way to build immunity in populations.  For highly vaccinated nations, infection rates are far less important than rates of hospitalizations and deaths because vaccines work well in preventing severe illness.  Currently, almost 50% of world population is vaccinated.  World health organization hopes for 70% vaccination rate in 2023.   So brighter future expected.

With the omnicron variant that spreads viciously its effects are a lot less severe .....cases go up but hospital visits are way down at least in Canada ....but I believe our vax rates may be higher here
