I never said the study was wrong, I said the statistics can be manipulated, it could also be manipulated to make it not seem so extreme. The numbers could actually be even worse than what you see.

But how can a public OPINION poll be wrong?

A poll could ask  100 random people if they like the color blue rather than orange.  If the results of that OPINION poll reveal 60% prefer blue, it amazes me that a large segment of the rightwing base would argue that the poll results are wrong.   Likewise when they asked Americans in July of 2016 who they preferred for president.

The actual INTERPRETATION of the  polls by whomever wishes to offer his/her OPINION about the results may be right or wrong, but the poll itself asking OPINION is not wrong.  And never is.

That would be like saying a tree is wrong.
