Ironically there is a character in that movie who is degraded with the name Snowflake.

He is black and is called Snowflake by Denzel Washington, another black man.

Isn’t it ironic that even the INSULTS are culturally appropriated by racist whites (who now use the term snowflake for anyone who doesn’t agree with them).

What DON’T they steal from the black community??

    Amazing isn’t it?

    Eh, not so much.

Why? Well watch the game and then you’ll find out.

    They had SEVEN TURNOVERS.

Not even Bama accomplishes such a thing.

And it was all due to what? A coach nonchalantly abandoning a triple option offense because he thinks New Mexico is suddenly the Houston Cougars with David Klingler and his QB can throw for 54 Td’s in one year...not the case. Hence the disaster...which no one on earth could have capped.

I agree 7 would be hard to see coming but my point was more to whine and bit ch about it happening after the fact seems

You knew(So you say) that they were 4th in NATION in takeaways before that game, it seems very reasonable that one would think that Wyoming could create 2-3 TOs which could lead to coach changing strategy or game plan. Really just poor capping IMO.

Scal, I just finished playing golf at my club ... holy moly it was cold and damp.
Hit the ball well, but my short game was terrible.
There were literally only 7 golfers on the entire course today.
    Not ideal conditions.

Friday is supposed to be nice, so will play in the afternoon.
Going to tee off at about 3:30 with my wife and another couple, play 12 holes (the 12th hole green is right near the clubhouse) and then go inside for a nice dinner. Then we will sit by the fire and sip a cocktail or 3.

What are your plan for the weekend?

    Do you play golf?

Packers, before last year I had played about 60 rounds of golf in my life.
I played in softball leagues, basketball leagues, and flag football leagues ... I also coached sports pretty much year round. It left no time for golf.

Over the last decade or so I retired from all that other stuff and joined a golf club last year.
Played about 60 rounds last year, and this year got in over 100 rounds.

My game is improving, but I will never sniff being a 3 handicap.
I got my index into the single digits earlier this year, but then developed the shanks and had a serious setback. I had heard the expression "shanks" before but never knew what they were ... and then I got them!
I almost quit the game this summer because of them.

The shanks are now gone, but I still have not fully recovered from the damage to my game that they created.
I play to a 13 right now, but will undoubtedly be in the single digits again by next summer.

I've always been a pretty good athlete and it has come easily for me, but I find golf to be quite humbling.

Scal, I posted earlier about possibly betting the Astros 1st 5 +1/2.
At the time it was -105 ... it is now -127
Now THAT'S moving a line. Hugh got some serious juice!

I'm now considering playing the Astros full game +1 run (-102)
Do you feel this is a good bet?

And that is why Ben, in another 11 years, you'll be out of money and long out of capping,

And you'll sign onto covers and you'll see me. STILL Capping. STILL giving out winners.

And even the losers I give out....make you a winner over the long term.

Lose with Scal today? Win tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.

    Really poor capping.

I guarantee he's watched 2 MWC games in his entire life (and fell asleep halfway through both as his cat Francis did circle 8's between a pair of calves so hairy a Sasquatch would salivate over them).

Scal, I might pull the trigger on W Mich -4 (-102) on the reduced juice line

Or possibly Over 48 (-106) also reduced juice, of course

Got any insights you can share with me on these?

    Not ideal conditions.

Friday is supposed to be nice, so will play in the afternoon.
Going to tee off at about 3:30 with my wife and another couple, play 12 holes (the 12th hole green is right near the clubhouse) and then go inside for a nice dinner. Then we will sit by the fire and sip a cocktail or 3.

What are your plan for the weekend?

    Do you play golf?

    No I do not.

I work out. That's what I do in spare time. Getting my body like an Adonis. Not playing a game with a dimpled ball and set of clubs that costs thousands with my pinky in the air.

Have you ever seen a pec ripple Hugh?

Take your shirt off. (We'll all look away)

Now, take your hand and slap your man boob. See that ripple?

Well that's not exactly a pec rippling.

A pec will ripple when the musculature is so oversized within the pectoral compartment, you can make the flesh and muscle ripple on demand.

Almost like to the beat of a drum.

Ever here the beginning  of Eye of the Tiger with Rocky? Those guitar riffs in the begging? You can make your pecs ripple to that. I do. Before every workout. It's a glorious feeling.

To know you're not only the best capper on covers win or lose, but also the most fit.

Slap your manboobs like bongos and dream of what you could be if you were as young and fit as I am.

If you are a good writer you can make a reasonable case for pretty much either side in most games.   You ignored a very obvious stat and got crushed but you had game capped right.  Good luck this week, will be thinking of you when Raps win game 49. sadly you will be long gone.

Certainly depends on who hits games like this I guess.   You seem to get upset when others win what you consider to be "lucky" or backdoor covers.

Scal, I happen to hit the gym 5 days a week.
I have lifted weights off and on for the last 40 years.

I had mentioned this earlier in this thread, but GoldenGoose has met me.
He can vouch that I'm in pretty good physical shape.
6'2" 235lbs and not too much fat on me.
I suppose I could lose 10lbs, but that's only because I'm getting older.

Maybe one day we could hit the gym together.
    What say you, scal?

I'll tell you what, youngin ... if you can bench more than me, I will let you out of this bet you are losing.

I will come to jersey. You video me benching, and I video you benching.
We post the videos on this site for all to see.
Whomever benches more stays, the weakling leaves 30 days after we post the videos here (gotta stay for the 30 days and take all the crap that the boys here will throw your way)

You name the time and place ... I'll bring my old man body.

Scal, I have spent hours and hours handicapping, and am ready to submit what will be my final pick, but i need your approval first.
(I know I have 2 more picks, but I am referencing what will be my final pick here)

On your last day here, Sunday, February 4th, 2018, there is odds on the Puppy Bowl.
Unfortunately, both Team Ruff and Team Fluff are -120

I have capped this match diligently, and am confident that I have the right side, but your rules state nothing higher than -110.
I can wait on the reduced juice line for this match, but as of now both teams are -120 (damn you, 5dimes!!!)

Will you allow me the -120 in this match?

As I said, if I lose, I am not coming back.

My writing style is one of kind. I'd be exposed in one post.

But I don't plan on losing so it's a moot point.

If you are a good writer you can make a reasonable case for pretty much either side in most games.   You ignored a very obvious stat and got crushed but you had game capped right.  Good luck this week, will be thinking of you when Raps win game 49. sadly you will be long gone.

I can assure you I can not only outbench you but any 58 year old on the planet. I can confidently say that without hesitation (and that's not saying much).

5Dimes having the puppy bowl on the board 365 days a year is bizarre.

It probably has 5 bets on it max.
