Who cares if you take 2 sides of a game - you can do in real life - the line could have moved against - the fact that you predicted line movement is positive E(V) and to capture with lower vol is a strategy used by many professional bettors and syndicates. I realize this is a "contest" so maybe you have different rules - but when an NFL team is up 24-0 in 3rd quarter - they might GO CONSERVATIVE - so why can't someone do that here. But, yes it is BUSH LEAGUE b/c we want a variety of picks to make $.

A middle only presents the opportunity to win a bet with no juice. There is no risk for him as he was UP in the contest and made the bet.
If we play 20 plays and I start rough at 4-6 and you start 7-3 you can GUARANTEE me having to cap the rest of the contest at 80% by capping both sides of the next 5 games finishing 12-8 as I’d have to go 8-2 JUST TO TIE! Who WOULDNT take that even against the worlds best capper? If my results were hidden of course you’d think twice about doing that but since we see all results it is advantageous. You don’t think Hugh knows this at 7-4 to start the day? Of course he does!
