Is this the end of an era? Say it ain't so, Scal. Just started reading through some of this thread but those numbers can't be right. From what I recall, I've been here since 2014, I'd say Scal was at the very least a 55% capper.
BTW, Scal, I have circled that Warriors game in Boston, especially if the Celtics beat Brooklyn and keep the win streak alive. They will be running on fumes by the time they play the Warriors and the Warriors will be looking to make a statement against the "best" team in the league.

It’s for the best.
Leaving as of the Super Bowl in February.
And it was well worth it. These posters are not good people. And I wanted them off the site. Constantly harassing in my threads and outside of it. I’ll leave it at that. I was willing to put my account up for it. Terrible people deserve to be banished.
The 20 games got blown up. No big whoop. I’ll continue to cap.
Amazingly Hugh picked the Packers and the Saints the same game to add a guaranteed win to his record when I trailed. It’s obvious why he did. It forces me to cap at a very high clip (the original side of Green Bay +6 was a loser. I watched the game cheering the Saints only to find out later he added in the Saints which is as many have said here a di** move. One td and he would have gotten two wins out of the same game without paying juice. Very sneaky.).
So I’ll go then.
But thanks for the pick. I will play it. I was hoping you would have capped Giants Niners. I looked for it.

Niners were head-scratchers because of possible tanking. As you know, teams and organizations tank but players don't cause they are playing for jobs. (Having said that, it looked like the Giants had quit on their coach.) People in the Bay Area are pretty pissed that the Niners won because of the draft implications. They think it was a stupid thing to do, but the Giants were so bad even the Browns would have beaten them.
The site is not what it used to be and I don't gamble anymore, though I will cap games for fun. I rather put the time and energy into my family and kids. Debating strangers over sports/capping may be fun but when all is said and done none of these relationships will mean anything, or they will mean as much as a hologram (like those in Star Trek).

Scal, I am sure we would have hit it off. I enjoyed your company here as well and learned a lot, especially from you. One thing I discovered on my own, having stepped away, is that good cappers are rarely wrong even on a miss. Sometimes we pull the trigger on a team too early (thinking this is the perfect spot to back or fade them) when it is really the following game. That is my biggest takeaway from having stepped away. If you go back and look at your own picks, you will find this to be true most of the time. Sorry you tailed and lost Seattle. I think the Texans QB Watson is just a beast and was able to carry his team who rallied around the controversy instead of folding (which would have been the more typical response). But that is what makes psychological capping interesting, because you never know how a human being (or a group of human beings) will respond exactly. All you can do is make an educated guess based on past experiences.
