But don't forget, he's also extremely sophisticated. You see, he and "Cuzzo" have this whole thing worked out. Double can't text Cuzzo with these picks that make tens of thousands of dollars, because Cuzzo's old lady gets pissed about him gambling. She loves the money mind you, but she still gets pissed, which is why she went ahead and cloned his phone, so that she'd be able to see every single text that he gets. If Double were to dare send Cuzzo a text with any picks, she'd prolly cut off Cuzzo's balls. Double also can't call Cuzzo and give him the picks, because again, cloned phone, pissed old lady, yada yada yada. And Cuzzo doesn't have email, so Double can't email him the picks. Cuzzo also doesn't have any social media of any kind, so there's no way at all for Double to communicate his picks to Cuzzo, except for one, very simple, but very brilliant way.... posting in these here forums.
By golly, Double and Cuzzo found an ingenious way to beat the system and work around Cuzzo's old lady! So how it works is this - Double posts 50 times a day and Cuzzo just sits at his computer (his old lady probably doesn't even know he has one) and waits for an alert every time Double posts something. Now, we know these alerts are sent via email, and Cuzzo doesn't have email (because if he did, Double could just email him the picks, but he's not sophisticated enough for that, even though you have to have an email account to join Covers, but I digress), but he's found a work around for that as well..... Cuzzo has a deal set up with Billy down at the bar (you know, the very same bar where Double drinks for free because of his awesome, fantastic picks). So anyway, Billy at the bar has access to email, so he sends a text to Cuzzo in code with something like "The donkey at the peanut butter again" (That way Cuzzo's old lady won't figure out what's going on), and that's a signal to Cuzzo to get on these forums and find out if Double posted any picks. It's gotta be pretty frustrating for Cuzzo to sift through all of these posts by Double waiting for a pick. But he does it nonetheless, because Double's picks are so awesome and so profitable that it's worth it.
Now, when Cuzzo finally spots a Double pick, he runs down to his local and bets huge. And then when he wins, he has the problem of keeping his old lady from finding out about the windfall. So he spends most of his profits buying soccer cleats for Double's kids, sending Double and his family on a trip to Niagra falls, paying some high school kid $10/hr to teach Double's kids how to kick a ball, etc...
Oh, I almost forgot, so anyway, after Cuzzo gets his bets down, he goes to the local pizza shop and tells the owner what Double's picks are so Double can continue getting free pizza. They speak in Italian, mind you, because sometimes Cuzzo's old lady is there and she'd be pissed if she found out what was going on.
Then Cuzzo heads down to the bar where Billy is, you know, the one where Double can drink for free. Anyway, Cuzzo tells the owner of the bar what the picks are. But of course, they have to speak in Polish, so Cuzzo's old lady, who spends hours a day at the bar, won't find out what they are doing. Now Billy is just sitting there the whole time, but for some reason, he is unable or unwilling to communicate Double's picks to the bar owner, because that would make too much sense.
And keep in mind, Cuzzo's old lady is so suspicious she's also cloned the phones of the bar and pizza shop owners, so there's no way Double could send them a text. They also don't have email or any social media, so the only conceivable way for them to get their picks is via Cuzzo, in Italian or Polish, depending on where he's at, via Double, posting on Covers.
