Homicide detectives from the Charlotte Police Department are investigating the scene where Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry suffered life threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon.
The revelation is just the latest indication of just how much Henry’s life is hanging in the balance.
A source with direct knowledge of the situation told Dan Graziano of FanHouse that they “don’t think he’s going to make it.”
In addition, Henry’s agent Andy Simms posted a brief statement on Twitter Wednesday night.
“(Chris Henry) is indeed battling for his life tonight, and our thoughts and prayers our with him,” Simms wrote.
A police statement released at 6 p.m. Wednesday said that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg P.D. Highway Interdiction Traffic Safety (HITS) unit was also on scene collecting physical evidence and taking photographs.
