Kovalev has to prove he can be a leader at 36 years old or whatever he is he needs to be more productive and help a team riddled with injuries.  He has proved himself over the years as an incredible sniper but now his role has changed to lead his team.  I wouldn't say the same about Modano now or about Steve Yzerman in the twlight of his career because these guys lead their team!

If it was the Senators from 3 years ago, he would be in great shape.

Look at the Team, no Heatley anymore and Spezza+Daniel out....Yzerman on Detroit to Kovalev with this Senssquad?

Modano also had the better team...

    anyway, just my opinion!

Even though I'd trade for him in a heartbeat... Vincent Lecavalier. 2 great seasons sandwiched inbetween 9 more or less average seasons. Ok, he hasn't always been on the best of teams, but still.

Khnabby was hot back then you gotta score and have leadership to win,

Chris Drury's name is on there but come on he has just dissapeared in the Big Apple I really have a lot of respect for him like i said so under rated but he is a bust this year

Pronger is suited to the olde' NHL with no obstruction interference and intimination in front of the net

    3. Chris Drury what a dud and shit head this year. This guy used to be one of the most underated players in the NHL

    4. Marion Hossa, what a fucking box, coward and loser.  Barely contributes and hogs so much attention and money give me the Russian ROCKET PAVEL BURE over him any day
I might have picked hossa too dude hes a queer

I don't agree with anyone and was thinking who I'd pick and bango pokerplayer1 with the pick of all picks...Campbell. Has 3/4 of a good season and gets paid sick money to do shit and he's in his prime.

A lot of the guys you meantioned aren't in their prime, or have nothing to prove anymore. Gomez was mister clutch for a long time fyi,
