CLB/BOS over 5 ½ -125 Columbus got a win their last time in low scoring fashion but prior to that game, their offense had been on fire and during this 7-game winning streak they’ve scored 28 goals (4.00). Helping the potential over here is Korpisalo getting the nod for the Jackets tonight and on the road this year he’s been lit up, giving up 25 goals in 6 road appearances while amassing a horrid .872 Save% and 4.21 GAA. For the Bruins, they come back home after a big win against Tampa and a 4-game road trip and leave for another 4-game road trip immediately after this, so I expect a mentally worn team here so potentially sloppy play on their side which leads to chances against.

CGY/ARZ under 5 ½ -120 Despite a shut-out in his second game back, Mike Smith is still working through some rust and a trip into Arizona and their low-scoring team should help get him back on track. Smith has been a true road warrior this season with tremendous numbers away from home: .940 Save% and 2.08 GAA. Arizona, despite being on a nice run, still has issues scoring as they’ve netted only 16 goals in their last 8 (2.00) and The Flames have potted only 9 goals in their last 5 (1.80). As good as Mike Smith has been on the road for Calgary, Antti Raanta has been at home for Arizona with a superb .930 Save% and 2.27 GAA. I’m expecting a very tight game out of Calgary here as they can’t afford to give away points right now and tight usually means low scoring, defensive minded games.

FL TT U3.5 -150 Florida has been on a nice run, but now the offense has yet to score more than 3 goals in its last 3 games. This young team heads up the coast into Canada to play in The Bell Centre where The Canadians have gotten winning results with a solid 17-11-8 record and Antti Niemi, as I’ve written here before, has been outstanding on home ice with a .939 Save% and 2.25 GAA since mid-November and he has only given up more than 3 goals at home once all season.

I'm hoping they don't, haha. 3-1 Florida and we can both celebrate! But, yes, definitely a solid young offensive core on this team. I've bet on them, and in doing so hyped up that core more than once.

PIT/NYI over 6 ½ +100 As of this writing we could have any combination of Halak, Greiss, Gibson, DeSmith, Jarry or Murray, and I would take the over regardless of who is confirmed for either side. The Pens surge coincides with the Isles collapse. Since the start of the new year, Pittsburgh has gone 22-8-2 and scored 126 goals (3.93) and now get to shoot on the hapless Isles, who are dead last in goals allowed per game and have gone 10-17-6 (only 5 regulation wins) since the calendar flipped and have allowed 123 goals in that span (3.73). Oh, and for fun, see about a prop bet on the #1 Penguins power play scoring on the league worst Islanders penalty killing unit.

COL -120 Prior to the season, rumors swirled that the Rangers were going to try and package their newfound first-round draft pick to Colorado for Nathan MacKinnon. I wish! This is a true young stud having a breakout year. The Avalanche have won 4 of 5 and have outscored teams not from the Nashville area 19-5 in the process. This team is making a playoff push and they get to shoot on career back-ups Berube or Forsberg, really doesn’t matter which as Chicago has given up 24 goals in their last 5 games. Hungry Avs are motivated here against a Chicago team that simply has nothing to play for and a tandem of goalies that can’t stop the puck.

COL TT O2.5 -165

VGK -1 ½ -105 The Knights are locked into the 2 seed but showed some grit by ending their 4-game home losing streak and shutting out Calgary on Sunday night. Even an unmotivated Knights team should be able to easily dispatch this pop-gun offense of the Canucks. Without Brock Boeser, this Vancouver team just can’t get pucks into the net and they’ve scored only 6 goals in their last 6 games combined!

WASH -130 Dallas skated into February and won their first 5-games. Since then they’ve only won 5 of the next 17 and their playoff hopes have taken a big hit and the knockout punch may have been losing starting goalie Ben Bishop. Now they head on the road where they have struggled all year to face a Caps team that gets it done at home and they need to get those two points with back-up Kari Lehtonen in net.

DET TT O2.5 -125 Ok, hear me out. Detroit has been horrible offensively and at home over their last 13 they’ve gone 3-8-2 and only scored 23 goals (1.77) so how am I betting them to score 3 here tonight? Answer: former Redwing Petr Mrazek. I thought this would be a great move for him when he was traded to Philly and it started out pretty good, but overall, it’s just as bad as when he was with Detroit and I think heading back into this building only hurts his psyche more. Since the Philly trade he has a terrible .888 Save% and 3.13 GAA and has allowed 3 or more goals in 7 of his last 8 starts.
