Every sport is rigged to some degree when it comes to heavy betting action on the particular game. One has to except this.

    nothing unusual right?

well the very next day. on twitter, another player said he spoke to the RB of giants. and the coach said NOT TO SCORE A TD! it was on front page of yahoo.

why would u NOT  score a td? it would of seal the deal. it makes perfect since now why eli threw the ball away instead of taking the sack to kill time.

and didnt someone say the giants owner are known for illegal gambling? take it for whats its worth. if u dont think games can be fixed you're an idiot.

It was Eli Manning that told him not to score, not the the coach.  Eli admitted it and said in the moment it seemed smart to run off the clock more so Cowboys would have no time for a comeback.  He admitted it was a stupid move.

But do you see how this works?  Something that can totally be explained, it was a dumb move by Eli and he screwed up.  But for you, this turned into some amazing perfect proof that rigged games happen.  That's how all this stuff spreads like wild fire for gamblers.

so u say it was eli that told him not to score cuz it was the smart thing to do to kill time. but YET eli throws the ball away instead of taking the sack to kill time..when HE said it was the smart thing to do. yeah very smart. theres a lot more proof for fixing games. its common sense that players, coach, refs bet on games to alter games and make money. how u think some college kids have money and drive nice cars? if coaches and college organizations pamper college athletes with special "gifts" u can sure as hell bet that they gamble on games to make extra money.

You need to re-read what I wrote, Eli said IN THE MOMENT he thought it was a smart move.  Think about that, you're in the huddle, intense game, play clock is running down....you make a spur of them moment decision to tell your RB to not score.  He thought IN THAT INTENSE 30 SECOND MOMENT that not scoring was a good idea.  I also wrote (which you missed) that he later admitted it was a stupid move.

If you've never played sports at a high level you'll never understand this.  Players and coaches have to make decisions very quickly and so many times they regret and wish they would've done something else afterwards.  The difference is us fans only exist in the afterwards, we dont exist in the moment.  Thats why people don't understand how you can mess up like that and therefore assume some shady went on.  So again, unless you've played high level fast pace sports, you wouldnt understand this.

So Eli who just signed an $84 million contract is going to throw a game, risk his entire career accomplishment (2 SB wins), getting thrown out of the NFL community, including HOF chance, and all yeah, voiding that contract, to make some extra money.  That just doesn't make sense!!!

That $80 million contract includes him following the script. He doesn't get paid extra.

So again, unless you've played high level fast pace sports, you wouldnt understand this.

u act like they dont have timeout. u act like they were down. if they try to get a TD game would of been over. its common sense. u play to score and win. give the ball to ur RB and get a TD. worse case u keep the clock running. i understand under intense moments u gotta make decision fast. but u get 40 seconds to make a decision not like u have to do it right away. call a timeout if u have to. i would understand if u were down and the clock was against u. i have play sports before. i understand and i understand how things work.

i know and read that eli admitted it saying it was a mistake to not go for a td . but u fail to acknowledge that eli purposely threw the ball away to stop the clock instead of taking the sack. these are pro's not amateurs they get pay millions to be pro's not amateurs. ur logic make no sense. one mistake is reasonable but 2 crucial mistakes. and im sure eli got the call from the coach. and maybe the coach got the call from upstairs to not score. i dont think eli would make these kind of calls on his own. and of course he will not throw his coach under the bus

u fail to understand that $84 million contract comes with being told what to do on the field. it doesnt have to make sense. the coach tells u do this...u do it.

So John Mara is writing the script so he can make some extra money?  Even though his net worth is $500 million.  All this with the chance of getting caught and being force to sell team that makes money hands over fist

And if the Mara are in on the fix, then there must be other owners too.  All this to make some extra money when NFL just got paid $12 billion by Direc TV!!!  That's just DTV, not ESPN/Fox/CBS.  Does that worth risk/reward?

Eli would have known the danger in NOT scoring and putting the game away. Unless he's like most of you on this thread, he woudl have learned from experience. So in your eyes, when the NFL comes out days after a controversial call and says "our bad, we scrwed up", you just buy that the official simply erred?

Man, where were you when I was selling life insurance?

Just think about what you're saying here.  Eli is in on some mass conspiracy, therefore I assume you think many many other players are in on it as well.  Well then let me address my previous post and maybe you can explain.......

How many ex-players are suing the NFL over concussion issues, pension issues and just because they are pissed with their life situation after football?  These guys are coming after the league hard and pissed off....yet for some reason they're staying quiet about all the fixing they were required to do back when they played?  That's weird, seems like the perfect revenge if you ask me.

And what about current players who HATE Roger Goodell.  So many of them talk so bad on that dude and get so pissed off at him and owners over suspensions, fines and other BS.  So these players will talk crazy ish on these guys but won't expose this vast conspiracy that they are required to fix and rig games?  You need to think this through instead of reading about cool theories.

If you ask me the NFL has very little control over their players and ex players.  So how have they been able to keep hundreds of hundreds of players mouths shut (for years!) on what would be the biggest story in the history of sports????

clearly u dont understand the concept of fix games. it can be the owner, it can be the players, it can be the coach, it can be the refs. it doesnt have to be the owner. sometimes all it takes is 1 player to fix games. it doesnt matter if the mara family are worth 500 million...its never enough. when there is easy money to be made...people would do it. i can be a player. and fix the game myself. nobody would have to know. i can tell my brother that i will make our team lose today. bet whatever u have. get what im saying? if i was a college athlete i would do the exact same thing to make money for me and my family. play and fix games myself. ever hear of donaughty? thats exactly how he got rich by fixing games himself.

Global sports betting industry is worth greater than 1.5 trillion dollars. And here you are thinking 12 billion dollars is worth something to these gargantuans? The reverse question to your pitiful thesis is - would they risk trillions of dollars in easy gambling money for TV rights and fans' dignity?

Did you just insinuate that the NFL controls and runs all gambling worldwide?  Now thats a new one.  Who's on the board for that committee?  I picture Jeff George, Bernie Kosar and Keyshawn Johnson running it.  LMAO

Where in my statement did I say anything about NFL? You Americans think the world revolves around you.

Soccer owns about 60-70% of sports-related activity worldwide. 20-30% would be American sports. NFL even a smaller percentage. NFL is only a tiny fish in the ocean.

I'm sure you can't comprehend the fact that 1. There are other more popular sport apart from gridiron and 2. That US of America is only one country.

Well then what were you saying?  You were making an argument that the NFLs billion dollar contract with DirectTV is nothing compared to their trillion dollar worldwide gambling organization.  You said "why would they risk trillions of dollars in easy gambling money for TV rights and fans' dignity?"

You are talking about the NFL here, are you changing your point after realizing how ridiculous your claim was?

So now we're talking conspiracy...  The coaches, players, official are in on this and it just can't the Giants and it just can't be this year so we're talking hundreds and hundreds of people and yet none of them has come out and said game was rigged?  Those who went bankrupt after retirement kept their mouths shut?  You don't really think Terrell Owen wouldn't just love to spill the beans considering where he is right now?  No one ever felt dissed by the team/league later on and wants to get back at them?  No official who makes 40-50K ever come out and makes millions with tell-all books?

Your little essay confirms you are no more than 16 years old. Your level of comprehension is below elementary level.

You continue swimming in your puddle of water my friend. I've got much larger fish to catch in the vast ocean.

    Officials making 40-50K?

You make me laugh. They get paid millions and millions that is not written in the books.
Why would they come out with a tell-all story for a one-off $10 million payment when they can shut their mouths and get paid $10 million annually guaranteed for their remaining lives?

You know how when someone is beginning to lose an argument...  They resort to insults!

I take it then that of your 1745 comments, that you have never pick a side based on stats or who's better team as that's irrelevant bc it's rigged.

OMG, did you just say an official makes $10 million / year in hush money for life?  If you believe that, we're so far apart on logic that it's not worth it to discuss this any further with you.  Best of luck, dude!

Is $10 million dollars such a shock to you? You do realize the big men who run these organized crime of American sports turnover billions of dollars every day? Giving one person $10 million for them is equivalent to me giving you $10.

Well said.  Sometimes big upsets occur, sometimes the favorites crush the underdogs, and sometimes the games go down to the final play SU or ATS.  Just like any bell curve, results are clustered around the median.

No fixes in sight except for the delusional wackos.

The NFL plays 256 regular season games every year.  That's 2,560 per decade.

How many fixes have been proven over the last 30 years//7,680 games?  A big fat zero, exactly how much proof that the Mossad engineered 9/11 and that JFK was killed by the Cuban crime syndicate.
