NFL Rigged? - Voice Your Opinion

Alright, let me start off by saying 3 things.

I'm not one to buy into the hype of conspiracy theories.
I've been a lifelong die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and coming to terms with the fact that the NFL might be rigged would greatly alter my life.
I am not sour about a loss.

With that said, the ATL @ NO game (and many others of its kind) have me seriously considering the possibilities.

How is it possible that a professional team that executes thousands of snaps in practice could possibly mess it up so frequently in game time. Conveniently each time it happened ATL was in the red zone.

In addition, I'm not sure how many of you noticed but on one red zone possession, briefly before one of the fumbles a shotgun snap was way above Matt Ryan's head and required a jumping 1 handed catch.

3 red zone turnovers (2 fumbles, 1 turnover on downs). As well as one almost fumble? In addition. On the ToD the snap was fumbled...

I took exception to the game tonight. This was absolutely absurd. I&#x27;ve heard of throwing the game but this literally looked like somewhat intentional... Once the Saints had built up a sufficient lead Atlanta looked competitive.

Rigged for the stars to shine in early football... Rigging is usually apparent when refs are flagging one team excessively like this game...  ATL----&gt;PHI.. Otherwise the house has the advantage by playing with numbers and having more information than joe public... Above all else i do believe there is a script behind every season in most sports...

This is what usually happends... The stars are rarely involved,, its the opposing team that fumbled the ball for Den to win in the final minutes like for instance recently the DEN-KC game... This way it has nothing to do with the main star...

Then the following week they bring in the backup quarterbacks that are highly under rated....

Then after that a defense would allow wide holes uncovered for the opposing team to score,, sometimes known as a backdoor cover....

In case you didnt see the last superbowl,, no one blamed the qb for that one,, it was all play calling... Ne had to win after what had happend...

So with this many methods they can always play game of musical chairs... Sometimes it isnt about the money in gambling,, it is about keeping the interest in the fans which also equates to money...

All the information that a book needs is how many points ish will one team win by ish... And if things go haywire... The refs clean it up... For instance tonights falcons game... Yeah you can say brees is good and all,, but the saints defense allowed atlanta with wideouts to be wide open all game and what did they do? Go count the amount of dropped passes Atlanta this game,, this 5-0 team for lack of better words... This way you can&#x27;t blame The quarterback... They mix things around so that everyone shares the blame .. You take the blame here and pass it down to the next guy the next time... That&#x27;s how this works

Lets not mention brady... This man never gets touched... And when people start talking about it... He gets lightly sacked.. because he&#x27;s the main star... That&#x27;s why he looks so good when you have 3 hours to throw the ball... Now imagine something happening to that star... Everyone in the league would lose out ... Look at what happend when woods left golf... or when jordan finally retired... Oh boy.. lol we had lock outs bail outs all kinda outs were needed.. Stimulus plans you name it

Hell, no. There is no way something that entailed so many people could be kept secret in the long run. Somebody would always love to be the one to reveal the conspiracy.

The Watergate cover-up was blown and that was a HELL of a lot more important.

I skipped the game to watch a movie. Did anything interesting happen?

Anybody who thinks sports is rigged should not be betting on it, unless they have the inside information. I&#x27;ve never understood these guys that preach that these sports are scripted are usually avid gamblers.

I&#x27;ve posted before that I think the penalties in football are influential enough where a referee could easily swing the favor to one team&#x27;s side, enough to where that team would win almost every time.in almost every single snap in pro football, pass interference could be called on either side. these guys are so good they do anything to get an edge, they are handfighting and handchecking each other the entire play to get open/defend. Anquan Boldin was super good at this, actually I think most of the premier receivers are. i believe you have to force the issue until the refs call you. its the type of mindset the Patriots have.....if you aint cheating, you aint trying. But ultimately like the poster above mentioned i can&#x27;t believe that all the players/most players could be in on the fix and not say something.

And to make matters worse... They are americas team... IMO,, the dallas cowboys could lose every game this year and still turn profits in the top 5 category against any team... Why else would they dump delmarco murray? dallas was his ticket ... What was it 80 MIL? sure they would wanna pay that much if dez bryant got traded to free up that cash flow...

When something detrimental happens to a teams imagine... Expect anything to happen to save the image of a team.... And if something detrimental happens to a city... Expect the football gods to send in the angels to save the city... maybe not right a away but eventually...

Not every game is messed with. It is usually the referees that manipulate it though at the pro level.

I did not see tonight's game, so I cannot say anything about tonight.

Also, anyone who is naive enough to think there are no games manipulated by referees, are just really naive. If they think there is only one Tim Donaghy in all of sports, they are just lying to themselves.

It doesn't happen as often as you think, and it isn't void of any manipulation as well. The league as a whole is not "rigged."

I&#x27;d recommend watching it if you find yourself with extra spare time. Once again, I cannot stress enough my reluctance to buy into ridiculous claims of rigging, however, this game was too fishy.Atlanta moved the ball with relative ease but every drive stalled around the same spot on the field. There were two fumbled snaps and a third that would have been had Matt Ryan not made an athletic play. New Orleans was unimpressive and should have been losing 24-14 at half time. At half I don&#x27;t think a single person watching the game could honestly say that New Orleans deserved to be winning.I&#x27;ve seen some horrible games but this one left be scratching my head.Outlandish statement of the year: While a lot of you argue that the NFL could not possibly be rigged because someone would eventually blow the whistle... Any player who would come forward would likely be sued into oblivion and painted as a nutcase by the NFL. (FOOD FOR THOUGHT).

I think today it was just the spot. Saints were pumped up with their season on the line while the Falcons were 5-0 facing a 1-4 team after an overtime win. Look at other letdown spots and how poor teams tackle in that situation. The discrepancy of motivation can cause a turnover differential. Not that the Falcons weren't motivated, but the Saints were completely pumped with that loud stadium. I would guess the Seahawks have a much better turnover differential at home.

This is what i would tell people... If you dont know how it works dont put your money on it... Rigged or not.. All i need to know is how and why and i can figure out when... Because i already know there&#x27;s very little randomness in football... And i will tell you how...When you see a ref throw a flag before a play even starts,, usually that&#x27;s a sign,, incase the quarter back doesnt hit his target and he gets a  free play or automatic first down.... A flag guarantees him forward progress...

And yes there could be a holding call on every play... Because there is contact in each play 99% of the time... Even on a kneel down there&#x27;s contract...
