I have to be honest guys I'm pretty bummed that the Packers won that big and impressively. Anyone looking to bet them again next week will now without question be paying through the roof to do so. And that is something we (or at least it's my philosophy) as sports gamblers shouldn't be doing.

I was thinking this same thing, but if Chicago blows out Seattle tomorrow do you think this will be the case? I think we see a similar line to the GB/ATL line if Chicago wins big. Just my thoughts

Having said that I am glad those fraudulent bums from Atlanta went down, it felt good to get some cheese in return for betting against them for once this year. Same with Baltimore. I've been harping for a while about how phony I thought those two squads were. The playoffs separate the pretenders from the contenders that's for sure.
I'm glad I trusted my gut and what I had seen all season with regards to today's games. I will be doing the same tomorrow when I lay the lumber with the Patriots.
I think it's time to spend the rest of the night crying over the price that I will be looking at paying next week with the Packers as well as wondering if I truly want to lay 10 points with Jay "mental midget" Buttface tomorrow.

their best but boy that was impressive what the Packers did against New
England. This team has a hell of a lot of character. They have about 15
guys on IR and 10 who have started and week after week they plug in guys
who we've never heard of who contribute They are quietly becoming the
Patriots of the NFC in that regard.
I know the parallels to the
06-07 Giants are easy to make but I think much like that Giants team the
Packers got a massive shot of confidence from last weeks game and it
may act as a springboard to a big run in the postseason kind of like
those 06-07 Giants had. I've been digging around this week looking at
stats/trends/experience etc, etc of Super Bowl Champions from the past
25 years or so and almost all of those teams fit certain criteria (I'll
post a thread before the playoffs). Right now the Packers are the only
NFC team that fits all the criteria so I think if they get into the
playoffs they can be dangerous. To get in they are going to have to win
the next two games. Once they do that they will be a wildcard and will
have to win 3 straight road games to reach the Super Bowl. My plan of
attack here is long term: this week bet GB -3+100 and then roll that
over plus the initial amount wagered on the Packers the next 4 games on
the ML until the Super Bowl (if they get there obviously). Worst case
scenario and most likely is I lose a unit, best case is I pick up 35-40.
Worth a stab IMO.
I wrote that in the lead up to the Green Bay's game against the Giants after they battled the Patriots down to the wire in New England with a backup QB. At this point how do I not ride them through to the Super Bowl like my original plan after what we have seen? Clearly my huge rollover plan failed when I dumped it on them -10 against the Bears but this team has just about everything. I love the guts and resiliency they have shown basically all season battling the injuries when they could have quit. Just look at tonight, an early turnover to let the Falcons go up 7-0 and they answer right away. Then they give up a huge momentum swinging kick return TD. That could have been disaster on a short week on the road in a loud stadium but they proved resilient again as they answered with a 92 yard TD drive.It just seems like they are the team this year.

Not a chance in flying hell the line is Bears -3 even if they win 50-0. They will NOT get a tremendous amount of respect even if they do blow out Seattle. People will say they did what they should have done against a weak team. I could see the line being closer to Pack -2 with a great Bears game tomorrow, but Bears -3 is insanity.

I am rooting for the impossible tomorrow, because if the Seahawks should somehow pull off a miracle (which is highly unlikely), there is no possible way they could set the line high enough for a Packers-Seahawks game. I don't care if its played in Seattle. Talk about a gift...
