Just excited the 4 best teams in football are still playing next weekend. Nice to have a dance with no Cinderella's left and just the 4 best teams that performed so throughout the year.
Also nice to see both teams getting to full strength, I am sick of listening to the Michael Crabtree has been out all year talk when Seattle has played without Percy Harvin all year also.

You are trying to paint this series as if 1 side has dominated over last few years and that just isn't the case. If you go back 5 years this has been a very even series hence the 4-5 last 9 (which was just an example I used to make a point). The reality is the teams these 2 are today the last 2 years is much more relevant than 3/4 or 5 years ago. And this series the last 2 years has been dominated by the home teams.

Would it make you happy if I said that the 49ers are 4-2 against the Seahawks in the Jim Harbaugh/Pete Carroll era? Obviously you are bothered by the fact that Seattle's wins the past 3 years have been those 2 big ones, which happen to be the only ones many remember, for some reason.

Keep holding on to them, you might need them to

Bottom line is Seattle set out to win home field advantage for this reason! It is now time to put up or shut up! I think this is going to be a balls to the walls game played by both teams! I will be rooting for my team but seems like + points is the right side could be a 1-3 point win by either squad

I don't think there is any doubt this is going to be a great game.

Keep living in the past.....what happened 3 and 4 years ago will mean a lot this weekend. Weren't you the same guy guaranteeing all last week that New Orleans will win in Seattle and SF was 100% going to host this weekend. Sure you are hoping that post is just burried away. Typical 49er fan, maybe we should talk about head to head matchups in the Joe Montana Jim Zorn Steve Largent Dwight Clark era. That will have about as much relevance as what happened 4 years ago will.

The reality is last 2 games in Seatlle SF has gotten spanked 71-16 and if you think Kaperchuck is going to be able to do anything against Seattle D you are nuts. And without the benefit of the 15 yard gifts they got all day today (every call which I thought was correct but the Carolina D melted down) and just literally gave them points.

Hopefully SF shows up this time, would be an embarrassment if NFC Championship game was over by halftime the way the last 2 SF in Seattle have been.

In those games played Seattle blew out the niners twice at home and the two on the road could have gone either way niners winning by a combined 8 points so not sure which way to go! But it sounds like bigniner just wants us to say he is right and Seattle should just lay down and give it to them because they are the niners? Coming off like a know it all doesn't make friends just ?? So good luck with your sf moneyline bet bigniner! I will be rooting for my team seattle not going to bet this one

Agree 3 and the hook has to be the play on either side of this game......especially with these 2 D's and 2 fairly pedestrian offenses at times.

This has all the makings of a classic game. To me, this is the Super Bowl. With how physical these clubs are I really hope the game isn't decided by a bogus call or non-call in a critical moment. That flag on Skuta was ridiculous and shouldn't have happened.. Let the players decide who wins the game unless it's a blatantly obvious call..

I see a supremely confident Niner team going into Seattle.. I love the fact that they are underdogs here.. Tommy Hitman Hearns vs Marvin Hagler on Sunday. Can't wait.

Seattle can barely score against tough defenses. Look at their offensive output vs Arizona a few weeks ago (10 points). Look at their output vs the Saints yesterday. Gifted 7 easy points after a Mark Ingram fumble in their own red zone, and only put up 16 points for the majority of the game (with a garbage time TD at the end). Their offense is pedestrian at best. They couldn't sniff the redone yesterday without some fumble luck. If you covered up the team names and logos in the boxscore, you would have thought the Saints won by 10 points.

Seattle is overrated because they capitalize on teams due to horrific weather and stadium noise. Kap has already experienced these elements this season, and I fully expect him to bring his A game next week. He is as confident a kid as they come.

Niners +165 and roll it over in the Bowl

I have along with this seasons division title this year and SF losing last years Super Bowl. Only difference between last year and this year is they lose 2 weeks earlier.

Same crap every 49er fan said going into this years regular season game......Kap experienced it last year now he knows how to react to the noise and the stadium.

I hope 1/2 you Niner fans show up and pay due respect after the game when Seattle wins. I will be the first one to Congratulate you should game go other way.

MathGuy81 - Great post and totally agree about the Saints game yesterday. For someone to say Seattle "shut down" the Saints offense is downright laughable. Like you posted, cover up the team names and the Saints outplayed the Seahawks. People seem to remember the crowd and points only.

Seattle's offense better improve significantly in the next 6 days if they want to advance.

I can tell you unequivocally right now, that if Seattle wins the game I will tip my hat to them and say they earned it.

Personally, as a SF fan, the Super Bowl wouldn't feel validated unless the team won in Seattle to do it. Not much anyone can say; most notably Seahawk fans if that happens.

Seattle did enough to win the game not sure what else you want to hear? The final score is what it is a W! I totally agree and have noted that Seattle's offense is in question here and has been but they have been able to win and hold down home field advantage which is huge whilst not playing their best on offense! That being said Seattle's Defense has been the backbone of the squad and should be noted their signature is their Defense so the offense needs to step it up!

Bigniner first of all good luck this weekend cause your going to need your A+ game,
Second - the question is did you watch that Saints game ? Cause Seattle did dominate that game in a way you just knew the saints could not score at all, when it was 16-0 at half it had blow out wriiten all over it again...The game pretty much should have ended 23-8 but hawks let them score a late td for the final score. The saints are a better O team than 49ers correct ? The hawks shut the saints out in a half two differant times this season, the hawks will have no problem shutting down SF O as they have the last two times you have come to Seattle, Everyone knew that carolina weakness was there pass D and that was evident today but that is Seattle strong suit and Kap well he cant really read a D that well so he is going to have problems next sunday. Anyways good luck it should be a good one , i dont think hawks smash you as they have the last few times up in seattle but a 10 pt win will do...27-17 hawks...book it

    So to recap:

    • Hawks dominated Saints and let them score
    • Saints have a better offense than SF
    • Hawks will beat the Niners by at least 10

    Noted

I am guessing New Orleans has a better defense than SF too? I hope they do; otherwise, Seattle's best chance to score might be on defense (again).

Seattle secondary> Kaepernick BIGTIME. This defense IN SEATTLE is so in Kaep's head, huge mental hurdle that he has yet to handle; he simply needs to play better.

Still, like the Niners with the hook teased up to 10.5 with the Pats +12, just too juicy to pass up.

I never tease in the championship games.. Throw the spreads out the window and just pick the team you believe will Win the game. Don't try to figure out who will cover.. 8-10 times the spread doesn't come into play in these games..
