You are all nuts, someone lock this thread, if i see one more kyle orton or marc bulger i might shoot myself, someone actually had nerve to say kyle orton just knows how to win, yeah if you call playing slightly above .500 cause of your defense winning thats cool... Its plain and simple despite injurys...
    1. Brady (cant deny the rings or huge year last year)
    2. Payton(controls game like no other qb in history + superbowl ring)
3.Big Ben ( gots himself a ring himself and career record is awesome)
4.Drew Breese (no one can deny the accuracy, incredible.)
5.Carson Palmer(hasnt won but is definately smart/talented qb for several years)

saw alot of tony romos... are you kidding nobody who turns the ball over that much is a good qb dont care if you throw 3-5 td''s a game.
Jay cutlers, hes definately on the rise can see him on this list in a few years.
one name i didnt see which i dont blame anyone was jake delhomme but seriously, atleast mention him before kyle orton, my god.

I still cannot beleive the overwhelming support for drew brees...

this guy has won ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

he's not a winner, period....could care less about his "great arm"...the true basis of a great QB is a guy that WINS in the CLUTCH, end of argument....he will NEVER WIN ANYTHING

neither will Mcnabb, Palmer or Romo.....these guys are IMPOSTERS!!!!!!!

jeez robbie...harsh words. did drew fuck your girlfriend your senior year at purdue or something?

IF ELI MANNING is really top 5 in football [which i dont believe he is], he should be able to do rather well with AMANI TOOMER AND HIXON AND BOSS AND STEVE SMITH in the passing game. If i remember correctly a top 5 QB such as Brady, did  rather well with receivers such as Deion Branch, David Patten etc.........

Burress out cannot be an excuse.

It will interesting to hear what people say in this thread after the Super Bowl.  The postseason says so much about how a QB can perform under pressure.  When it's all on the line.  The great ones rise to the top.  Of course, the great ones that fail will always be back the next year.  I think it may be a Pit-NY Super Bowl.  That's my opinion as of now.  Big Ben and Eli.  That, I think, would be a killer game.
I think Romo's stock is falling.  Until he does something in the postseason, I just don't know if he has the mettle.  I'm worried about Peyton and the Colts.  Nobody's talking about them, and they playing pretty good football.  The thing is though, Harrison just isn't the ol' Marvin anymore.  I believe that Rivers for San Diego has the unfortunate liability of having Norv Turner for a coach.  The Chargers would be a better team without him.  But look at his numbers!  Wow!  I do think Kurt Warner may have slipped into the top five.  I'll plug his name in place of Brady's.  Tom will be back next year though I'm sure...

    Peyton
    Big Ben
    Warner
    Brees
    Romo

That's where I stand now.  Eli is next.  Pennington and Cutler are close, but I'd still take those five above first.  I cant see Palmer in this list at all.  Not this year.

Sorry guys, no big ben here. He's a turnover prone statue imho....

His stats over last 3 yrs, 44 games.....

    65 td, 46 int, 24 fumbles, 134 sacks, avg qb rating 86.6

I understand Ben is a winner and Pit is not the spot to pad stats. But to manage the game, trust your D, and come with the big 3rd down play when needed. There is no possible way to overlook these horrendous stats.....

Would any of these subpar qbs in the league have a job after this 3 yr stint???

Might as well go ahead and add that Pit has been to one playoff game since their SB run in 2005. They lost to Jax in the wildcard game....

Well, 1 of the years of the 3 mention you mention was the year after he got in his motorcycle accident.  He then follows that year up with a 104 QB rating, the year before his accident he had a 98 QB rating and was a huge reason they won the Superbowl.  This year he did hurt his shoulder correct?  He has played against the Ravens(2), Colts, Skins, Dallas, NE, and Giants.

I'm surprised he is sacked that much, everytime I see the guy, he is getting away from pressure and making plays.  Making big 3rd down plays are not that easy.

And to all the McNabb haters look at his numbers and throughout the years and then pull up Brady's numbers and compare. McNabb's winning percentage as a starter are among the very top of the league's and remember he did that for years in the very beginning throwing to uh Freddie Mitchell and James Thrash. So think about that when you are talking about top QB'S in this league.

Actually the year the Steelers won the Supwrbowl they used the pass to set up the run.

There is no doubt that they have run through death row this year w/schedule and stand at 11-3 currently. We can speak of his injuries. But the man has only missed 2 games in 3 years. But Ben is a "winner" right? They've been to 1 wildcard game since 05 sb run and lost to Jax.,,,,

The top 5 quarterbacks when healthy.

    1. Tom Brady- Track record doesn't lie, not the most physically gifted quarterback.  Reminds me of Joe Montana.  Maybe with a stronger arm.  Just a competitor that makes winning look easy.
    2. Peyton Manning- Enough said!
    3. Carson Palmer- Most physically gifted quarterback in the NFL in my opinion.  Could be number 1, this could be a little bit of homer coming in.  He is terrific when he is healthy and has time to dissect defense's.
    4. Ben Roethlisberger- How can he not be on this list.  He makes plays, and just keeps on winning.  Terrific quarterback, he has been sacked a ton this season.  Any other quarterback would be hurt and the sacks would be doubled.
    5.  Drew Brees- This was a hard choice for me.  He just keeps proving people wrong.  Undersized not a big arm, just a great quarterback smart and savvy.

    Just off the list:

    1. Jay Cutler
    2. Eli Manning
    3. Tony Romo

I'm sorry but if you don't have Carson Palmer in your top 5 list you either one don't know anything about football.  Or two you don't know anything about quarterbacks.  Or three your just an idiot.
