In the league, right now, who are your top five in no particular order?

    Here are mine...

    Brady
    Peyton Manning
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Drew Brees
    Tony Romo

I was going to put Eli in there in front of Romo, but then I noticed he had a QB rating of 73.9 last year!   Carson Palmer could also steal some votes here, but personally I think the guy is overrated and the year he had last year was nothing to write home about.  Not only that, how much success has he had in the postseason?
Not much.  Not much at all.  Not that it's all his fault.  Because it's not.  Football is the ultimate team sport.  But you have to take that into consideration.  I think Gerrard has a chance to a become great, but it's WAY too early to put him in this list.  I actually wouldn't argue with someone if they have Garcia in this list, and Rivers is another up and comer that could be in the list soon, but like Gerrard, he's not yet there.  To call him an "up and comer" actually is somewhat ridiculous.  He's already there.  But he's not in the top five just yet.  Aside from that, there's alot of bums out there for the most part.

    What do you guys think?

To me, HUGE drop-off after Brady and Manning.

Big Ben definitely number 3.  And after him, there is another HUGE drop.

Best thing about Big Ben is that the mofo just always seems to "get away" from crap and convert 3rd downs, which to me is the most important stat for a QB, then the turnover stat.

I agree Clay huge drop after Peyton and Brady. Same with Big Ben and that's sad.

    Paeton
    Brady
    Rothlisberger
    Palmer
    Hasselbeck

I'm sure Romo can replace Matt. But Hasselbeck has been consistent for years.

The future Rodgers and Edwards ??????????

I also think Big Ben is number 3... Although the order for this thread is not important.  I saw Eli in PennState's list... that's cool.  I just dont agree.  I will say that he could sneak in there after next year, but I dont think he's there yet.

    1. Tom Brady
    2. Peyton Manning
    3. Big Ben
    4. Carson Palmer
    5. Jay Cutler

Eli Manning was underrated for most of last year when a lot of fans were saying he was only the top pick because of his last name and that he'll never be a good QB etc, but now that he won the Super Bowl he enters the year as possibly the most overrated QB in the league, at least in my opinion. I was always a fan of this guy when people hated on him, and I still think he's a really good guy, but he still has yet to prove he is a top QB in the league. Give me Jay Cutler over him any day.

Cutler will end the year as the third best QB after the two obvious ones.

    1. Tom Brady

    1.P Manning
    2.T Brady
    3. D Brees
    4. M Bulger(when healthy)
    5. Carson Palmer

Thats my list. Big Ben is highly overrated.I like watching the guy but he is not what everyone makes him out to be.Romo - I won't even comment and feel sorry for him because he is in Dallas.Cutler will be solid but Denver fans have got to stop comparing him to Elway.Thats not fair to a young man trying to learn to be a pro. Let him make his own mark.It was just like when Frisco fans were comparing Young to Montana when Young was just starting to play.Hasselbeck(sp.) would be #6. Eli would be #7. Garrard would be #8

Eli in the top 10 is hilarious.

I dont care about one decent playoff run, look at his season and career numbers. The kid isnt a top 20 QB.

Bulger, Hasselbeck, Cutler, Ben, Brees, Palmer, Romo are all questionable.

I am a homer but Brees is in the top 5.You put Bulger in New England or Indy and I guarantee he puts up Top 5 numbers year in and year out. Now you put a guy like Big Ben with those teams and I honestly believe he couldn't put up top 5 numbers. My opinions.

In a way the league is lacking those elite QB's it once had or Defenses are getting better.

Good stuff.  Keep 'em comin'... Nawlins:  No love for Big Ben I see.  Do you really think that Gerrard and Bulger are better?  If you look at his numbers over the years and how he's performed game by game (with the exception of '06 when he was banged up), your opinion might change.  He did have a better year last year statistically than anyone in the league aside from from Brady.

I think Gerrard just played out of his mind last year and will fall back this year.  Romo chokes in the big game and dominates the bitch teams.  Eli needs to do it for the whole season and not just a miracle run of 4 games.  Big Ben I feel was more a product of the system and I want to see him continue it under Tomlin.  Jay Cutler, Derek Anderson, and JaMarcus Russell have the team/weapons to make it on this list within 3 years

I should have put Big Ben at # 4, my bad.    But as a Cowboy fan that person Romo has to win something before I put his jinxed girlfriend having ass on any list.    Hope Pac Man Jones "stripper smacks" that smirk off of Romo's face permanently.
