i just looked.  2005 was an interesting draft.  a lot of teams that need a qb passed on rodgers.  nice job tennessee taking pacman jones
and jacksonville taking matt jones.  the vikings drafted erasmus james.
but there were some pretty good picks in that draft.  the 49ers fucked up by taking smith but they got gore in the third round.

green bay had a nice draft getting rodgers and nick collins in the second round.

the giants got tuck pretty late and two very good players went undrafted and signed with teams after the draft- cribbs to cleveland and weaver to seattle.

i never understood why rodgers fell.  it was between smith and rodgers to go number one in all the pre-draft discussion and then rodgers just fell and no one really said why, not that you ever get any good answers

I believe its supposed to be "open mouth, insert foot" not "open ass, insert foot."

Oh, wait. I see you are a niners fan. Nevermind then.

    Thats brilliant.

You're just too slow to recognize it was phrased that way on purpose.

I love it when morons try to make some generalization about people by what team they root for.

Tell me: In your opinion, why would the fact that I am a Niners fan make me un-intelligent?

Please, feel free to offer any coherent response.

The Packers organization is ran very well. It seems like every year they have a solid draft. Rodgers, Collins, Matthews, etc. I wish my Cowboys could start doing that.

Dez Bryant was a very good 1st round pick. If not for his injury he might have won rookie of the year.

The best is when they talk to McCarthy about the decision not to draft Rodgers (McCarthy was the Off. Coord.with SF at the time) and then ending up in GB.

He first went to Rodgers and said, "Yes I didn't draft you.  Get over it."  Classic.

True, but its a little different when youre talking about the Niners, because they were leaning Rodgers leading almost all the way up to the draft. So they were much, much closer to actually pulling the trigger than the other teams.
