John Harbaugh's punishment of Cam...

The Giants leading rusher was JJ Mcarthy on 2 carries. And he didn't start the game at QB.

I guess Jameis got "punished" too.

Giants lost the game.

Think you could find other forms of punishment, instead of sabotaging your run game?

Any Giants fans out there with opinions? What's going on in that locker room?

I mean yes he fumbled the ball last week, can happen to anybody…. Mistake not letting him run the ball….. a different punishment should have meant carrying the damn football all  week long and even showering with it, sleeping with it and eating with it….

They were 3-1-1 before today. Very fortunate for that draw with Washington. 

Now they go to Houston to play a surging Texans squad, then a bye week.

In a very winnable NFC East, could Harbaugh be fucking this up?

I am more concerned about the NFL screwing over these teams that have to travel to euro land. Houston has to fly back and then play on Sunday. At least they have a home game.

the giants have a problem that probably can’t be fixed. At least that’s what it seems to me. Last game they won was against the cardinals which somehow beat the rams today. 

The giants are one of those teams I swear for the last 10 seasons always have tons of injuries and just when you think they are going someplace they get set back. The year is over for them unless a miracle happens 

I wish the Yankees had a manager like him!!!! Instead of the codling they do with their players!!!

Even if the Cowboys were to somehow pull off a win here at GB(down 0-17 at half), the Giants will still be leading the nfc least at 3-2-1 after this week.

Looking at this division as a whole, it's fucking terrible. 

The New Orleans Saints came into this game with the 32 ranked run defense. 

Between Tyrone Tracy, Devin Singletary, and Najee Harris:

14 carries, 34 yards, 1 TD.

Next week facing Houston with the 5th ranked run D. 

Perhaps Skattebo will be fresh?

They are still 3-2-1 and Harbaugh is still the best HC in that division.

Wow I don't remember him being that harsh like that to his starting running backs when he was at Baltimore.  I do know he hates them fumbles and won't hesitate to put those players in the doghouse after consecutive games of fumbling. However those issues were mainly special teams returners that muff or fumble during takeoff

but one bad fumbling game from Skattebo and punishes him the next game? I sense Harbaugh isn't enjoying his time in New York unlike the more family camraderie that exist with the Ravens. It's a different atmosphere

I always thought it was the HC job to have his team ready to play and doing whatever was in the teams best interest, sitting Skataboo was certainly not in the teams best interest..period. I actually celebrated his departure from Baltimore

Harbaugh never punished King Henry for fumbling at crucial times in a game and he's had several. I guess Harbaugh really hates Cam's azz.

Whether Harbaugh was punishing Cam or not(I think he was), he was simultaneously punishing his team and it was a big part of them losing imo.

Jameis put up the ball 26 times(29 designed pass plays) in 3 quarters. After 2 interceptions Harbaugh had enough and put in Mccarthy. 

Could Skatebo get more than 2.42 ypc if he were to tote the rock? Probably, but who knows.

I can not see the Giants beating the Texans next week(9 pt dogs).

They're bound for 3-3-1 heading into their bye. And the NFC East will be wide open again, as shitty as it is. 

This division could be won by a .500 team this year, possibly worse. It'll be compelling/amusing to follow and see how it shakes out.

Also a waste of a roster spot. Did Cam play on special teams?

yeah there were definitely some tensions around that time 2011-2012. 

Just my opinion - this was a move involving a very popular player that has long term ramifications.  I believe Harbaugh is trying to build a culture of accountability.  Does he want to win this year? Yes, but I think he felt a message with his star running back was worth it given his young team.  Only time will tell if it was the right message.
