Because right now Tim Tebow is the biggest story in all of sports and one of the biggest news stories in the country.

Tim Tebow = ratings while not many people give a shit about the 7-6 giants.

Damn when did they start keeping standing based on completions, i must have missed that.

Was reading the first few posts of this thread and just wanted to bump one of my original comments.

THIS IS FOR MJ2345 AS WELL.

I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO... "name me a hall of fame quarterback (or even a pro bowl one) that had less than 50% completion percentage in the last 30 years?"...QUESTION IS HOW MANY DO YOU WANT? THERE ARE WAY TO MANY TO LIST. I THOUGHT THAT I SHOULD AT LEAST NAME A FEW, SINCE YOU SEEM TO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT (AM IN NO WAY BEING A JERK EITHER)...

1969 - 46.5 comp.%. He had 2 more years below 50%, but only started 2 games in those years.

Len dawson - 7-time Pro Bowler & 2-time First-Team All-Pro.He led his team to Superbowls 1 & 4 and won Superbowl 4 and was named Superbowl MVP. Inducted into Hall of Fame in 1987.

No, I didn't. I only saw the highlights and the 6 dropped passes.
But I have posted close to 50 posts in this thread, explaining how he doesn't suck.
I also posted earlier in this thread, that he is in the 15-20 range of best QB's in the league.

    tallguyindc,

If you want me to just go back to just the last 30 years, I will.

There is a ton of them.
I just figured I would start with some well known Superbowl winners and a few guys that took their team to the Superbowl.

I obviously started my research from the beginning of the 1st Superbowl.

He is a great football player.  If he can help win games for his team being a great football player, does he have to be a great quarterback too?  He is the team leader and they are winning games. His teams always have.  But guys like you think that he has never played against "good teams".  Never in his football career has he played against "good teams". Wake up MJ.  It ain't luck when it keeps happening throughout his career!!!

    Na Slim, I'll pass.

    Great info matt

The Pats might win/cover on sunday, but the people calling a 38-14 blowout will be in for a huge suprise.

THE PATRIOTS DEFENSE IS GOD AWFUL.

Rex Grossman was completly 20 yard passes like he was playing in highschool. REX GROSSMAN

If my aunt had balls...... I'm ridin' dude's wave.  The scripture says somewhere that steam generates power and power's responsible for light.  My light bill's due and odds are that Teebz can keep 'em flickerin'!  Flicker flicker!!!!  Tebow keep's it close this week.  Pats couldn't stop a crossing guard in a high speed chase! Bet the farm!!

Every member of the Bears defensive staff should be fired for that choke job of a prevent defense they played last game. That was the end of the road for Lovie and that nonsense

    MJ,

You stated that Tebow wasn't a good QB in one of your previous posts.

You then said "he completes under 50% of his passes.

So, I was only pointing out the FACT that just because a QB completes under 50% of his passes, doesn't mean that one is a bad QB.

There are way to many good to excellent QB's throughout history that had a completion % that was under 50%.

Again, all I am saying is, a QB's completion % isn't the only determining factor to look at, as to whether a QB is good or sucks.

    Numbers do sometimes lie! (LOL).

where's the shame on that Sparky? It's expected that the packers can go undefeated. On the other hand, you and all your minions couldn't let the hate go. week in week out for the last 6 or so weeks that tebow defy the analysts like yourself that's why they talk about him so much out of hate and dislike and comparing him to other QBs and stuff. sorry that NYG is not getting the same treatment especially Eli who rallied the G-men in the last 3 min to get the W. In all honesty, Eli is good but not great.

He's not defying the analysts. The analysts said he can't throw. And they're right.
