so a guy can get a first down, not get touched, go backwards, get tackled behind the first down line the first time he is touched, and just because for one second he had his foot over the first down, though by his own volition and greed he went back behind it, he is basically given a freeplay.

he should have been made to pay for trying to get greedy and failing. this sets a bad precedent where guys can get first downs and go backwards as much as they want trying to weave around and find a huge opening, and even if tackled was behind the first down marker the fact that for one second they were ahead of it (untouched) makes them invincible.

total bs and bad for the game.
