no way am I using Denver on the road, I am sorry, I will probably use them vs KC this year, but thats Week 17 in Mile High....

and as hot as Indy has been they have been squeaking by and squeaking by and its tough to use a pick on a team that is facing another team that has won 5 straight and is playing for its playoff lives...

Playing devil's advocate none of the 48 entries left have used the Titans.  So safe to say at least 40 will be on Titans.  Maybe I should go a different direction and hope for an upset???

Well we lost 6 in week 13 thanks to the Browns. Now down to 42 out of 418. This is where it gets interesting. Now I have to pick 2 teams each week the rest of the way because there are more than 10 people still alive.

Canidates: at Seahawks over Bucs, Texans over at Rams, at Broncos over Raiders, at Chiefs over Browns.

Denver vs Oakland---> Denver (only if Russell is at QB)

Baltimore, Washington, Philly, San Fran, San Diego, NY Giants, New England, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Dallas, Atlanta, Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Seattle I have used....

Teams I can still use -- Indy, New Orleans, Arizona, Denver, NY Jets, Jacksonville, Miami, Houston, and Green Bay

Right now I am leaning towards Arizona week 15, although I really like Denver getting Jamarcus Russell at Mile High
week 16--- there is a plethora of games, I am leaning New Orleans vs Tampa if NO wins this week or possibly Arizona vs StLouis or Green Bay vs Seattle...
week 17- either Denver vs KC or Houston vs NE if NE is benching a bunch of starters week 17

I am thinking of taking Minnesota this week, althought Panthers make me nervous and Favres INTs to

Then AZ over ATL week 16, and Denver over KC at home week 17

Everyone except me took Titans last week and I expect to take Denver this week, so taking Vikings gives me basically +2500 odds on Oakland (win 25 times the cost of the league if Denver loses)

Locked in on the Texans (swine flu making the rounds in STL only makes this easier)

Really would like to save the Broncos for Week 17 where hopefully they'll be playing for something.

I'm leaning Seahawks with the other one.  Do these #'s convince anyone this is a wise choice?

Buccaneers are 4-26 SU on the West Coast.

Seahawks are 11-3 ATS as home favorites since 2007.

 

Dubs, I'd recommend Arizona this week, NO week 16 and Denver week 17.  What happens if NE hasn't wrapped things up by week 17?

I have 6 picks left. I can pick any team, or teams I want. How would you spread it out. I was thinking

2 denver, 1 az, 1 houston, 1 New England. 1 Baltimore.

Topher, let's assume you need to win out and not just survive each week. the obvious plays this week are Houston, Ariz and Denver but that leaves open holes downstream. I prefer home teams when I can, which isn't always the case.

Week 15: Houston @ St L (St louis is terrible without Swine Flu) , TB @ Seattle. Seattle's a little scary but they play much better at home

Week 16: St L @ Ariz (the first game between these 2 a few weeks ago was no contest until Warner got hurt, expect the same blowout) and Det @ SF (I'm not a big SF fan but when was the last time Det won on the road? 2007 i think). The only other game available this week is Dallas @ Wash, not my favorite choice

Week 17: KC @ Denver (no contest a few weeks back in KC, expect the same) and 1 other pick. For now let's just say we have a few options and see how things play out. They are Jax @ Clev (brrrrrr, Fla team in Ohio in Jan?) and Chi @ Det (fade Detroit again). If you used Dallas week 16 SF @ St L would be available(fade St L again)

Next week I have the Colts at Bills or KC at Denver left to win at least a share.

JP the only teams i have left worth a shot in week 17 are Tenn and Denver. I'll always take the home team when I can and that's Denver for me assuming a Green Bay blowout Sunday. You have a choice.

With that said. If we assume Phi beats Denver this week, Denver still controls it's own destiny. Gotta take the team who needs the win to be in. On a side note, Denver has stunk up recent Decmebers. Keep in touch after the Green Bay game (WIn I hope )
