Lakers +7 at Rockets.  Paging Hustle Man.  What's the word tonight?

Can't call it to be honest. Last night the Lakers went on a 15-6 run to start the 2nd quarter.  But the  #24 came back in.  Never were able to get in a rhythm after that.  I need more time to evaluate the team with Odom back.  If anything, I think it's another defensive game.

The team's D is much better with Odom in there.  Plus it's on ESPN and you know those games tend to be shitfests.

I expect a bunch of one on one with McGrady and Bryant which will help slow the game down.

Yeah, I think I'll lay off tonight.  My hope is the Lakers pull off the upset, the Pistons fall to Golden State, and I can get plus points on the Pistons in Staples on Friday night.  That would be a dream come true.

Oh yeah before I forget...

A thing that has been prevelent in the NBA (and all of pro sports) since it's started has happened again today.

When a team's head coach, owner, high ranking official in the front office, etc calls their team out publicly in the media, atleast for one game (which is normally the game immediately after the nut check) the team rolls to victory. 

I've seen this happen time and time again when teams were the underdog, but this time they're a favorite.

I'm talking about Miami by the way. Riley saying he should suit up because he's better than most of the guys on the team.  Pro players might not display heart all the time, but like a contract year, guys are going to respond to things like that. Perfect opportunity to beat up on a crappy Sonics team.

You're an idiot if you play the Knicks right now.  You're an even bigger idiot if you play against the Celtics.

Raptors is an ok play.  76ers I can't argue against, I can see them covering in New Orleans, they have the athletes to match up.

Good call, hadn't even thought of that.  Wish I could get them laying less than 6 points right now.  I'll still think about it.

What's the track record for team performance after the coach compares their defense to the characters in Brokeback Mountain?

Late money came in on the Knicks.  I recommend avoiding them like the plague.

Check out that reverse line movement on the Nets/Celtics total.

I think Charlotte's a live dog.  I have no opinion whatsoever for you on NHL, NCAAFB or NBA totals.  If I did have an opinion, it would be mostly worthless.

Wish I had grabbed it earlier.  Lots of factors here.  Final tipping point was when I realized that the young-and-inexperienced Sonics are on the tail end of the dreaded Florida ("God's waiting room") back-to-back.

first quarter trend went 3-0 for the 7 oclock games....pretty easy too.  we will see how it works out later tonight

That's insane.  I actually consider Denver the best of all those 1st quarter bets later tonight.

Miami looking like shit early.

If they can keep it close until halftime, they should be able to bust things open heading into the 4th.

Sonics play bad enough defense that they still have a chance.

Nah, I like the Warriors tonight but I'm not 100% confident.  See my Heat bet for what happens when I make plays that I'm not 100% confident in.

Pistons are better in 3-in-4-days back-to-back games than you'd expect other the last couple years.

Plus, at this point it would feel like chasing, as I'm taking a bath on my Miami bet.  I'm not the chasing type.
