Hey Scal, I added you as a friend. Please accept. Also, not that we need any more support for this pick but here is what one of the best NBA cappers (the cappers who charge money) had to say about this game:

Jack's Free Pick Wednesday: New York Knicks -2

The New York Knicks are fighting for their playoff lives. They trail the Atlanta Hawks by just one game for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. You can bet that they'll be motivated tonight to inch even closer to a postseason spot, just as they have been for weeks.

Indeed, New York has essentially been in a must-win situation for quite some time now. It has responded by playing its best basketball of the season over the past month. The Knicks have gone a sensational 11-3 in their last 14 games overall, including back-to-back road wins over Golden State and Utah.

My biggest reason for backing the Knicks is that the Nets come into this game fatigued. Brooklyn will be playing the second of a back-to-back and its 7th game in 11 days. This is one of the oldest teams in the league, so these tough situations really affect the Nets more than most. Plus, they are coming off a big win over the Rockets on national TV last night, which sets them up for a letdown.

New York is 27-9 ATS in its last 36 games when revenging a home blowout loss of 20 points or more. The Knicks are 13-3 ATS after playing three consecutive road games over the last two seasons. Brooklyn is just 14-22 SU in all road games this season. Bet the Knicks Wednesday.

Gene you better have a futures ticket.

Scal always a pleasure and wish you nothing but the best in general.

You better believe it. I got the nets at +5000 when they were like 8 games under .500 for the eastern conference.... and I got them at +3000 for the championship.

NETS will ABUSE THE BULLS this year with or without home court. Not worried about the Bulls one bit if the nets have to play them.... I know you're on your stuff with the Nets too.... we usually have similar insight on both teams.....

Scal Hardaway playing or not playing is good and bad. He's athletic and a hot shooter. Which is good. But he's defensive downside and rookie instincts are the bad part. Defensively he's been getting exposed against good offensive teams...... especially with a Veteran crew like the one they will see tonight.

I'm expecting solid to big games for pierce, Derron, and JJ.

Knicks will need Amare to be animal tonight. Melo will be Melo "of course he made it, he's Melo. "

    To your point:

The Knicks are outscoring teams by 2.5 points per 48 minutes when Shumpert's on the court. When he's off the floor, the Knicks are being outscored 5.3 points per 48 minutes.

For comparison's sake, the Knicks are being outscored by 4.4 points per 48 minutes when Hardaway's on the floor.

Cant believe all the attention for this one. Especially based on a loss by one guy to Detroit and now wants a win. This one could go either way.... Ok, NY wants it more, But Brook. has experience and is playing better.

It is a no PLAY by anyone wanting to make money for a living. It is a play for those that want the action...

    Wow.

I honestly wasn't expecting this thread today despite my hopes. First off Scal, let me say good for you. A coward runs away, a man comes back stronger than before. Especially when they have known something was coming for a while now.

I also wasn't surprised at how derailed and off subject this thread has become. Nets vs. Golden State, don't tail degenerate cappers, Scal you suck, blah blah blah. When you're good at what you do this is what happens. I tell people that in this life, if you don't have haters, you're doing something wrong. You know how many people hate me? A lot. And it's for being awesome. Sounds ridiculous right?! Well it's not. So as you already know Scal, this is all a good thing.

On to the game. Last night was HUGELY important to playing the Knicks tonight. The line was set before hand but the result shaped what is to happen tonight. I have the game at -2.......for the Nets. The fact that the line is reversed is a big signifier to me. People will equate the Nets home success to their overall success and be happy to get the Nets at +money and +points.

Sadly, I cannot go nearly what I would like to at this game. My bankroll management has me play tighter when I am short and looser when I am up. Between the Pistons on Saturday and Monday, both truly shock results, I am cautioned to keep this close to the vest. With that said, this to me is the best thing you have posted since the Knicks and Sacramento and I got at that game every which way possible. If I was going that hard, the over would be in full effect in addition to the Knicks.

In the end, who cares about one game. I'm just glad to see you back kickin *ss and taking names.

It's what you should be doing

yo scal!!! i had to tease the pistons pick and it worked out for me although i hated every second watching that game and really thought it was not a good decision, but tonight is different.

i did a lil of my own research last night.
nets off a win at home then playing on the road the next game brooklyn are (3-7)

plus they are not the same team on the road which i believe alot of ppl are forgetting. before i even read this thread, after the nets won last night i dropped the biggest bet of the year on the knicks tonight for me. its gonna be a fun game to watch aswell.. i really have no worries at all. knicks take care of business despite all the jason kidd talk and blah blah blah uno?

im also looking into a 4-6 team parlay to bank on tonight or a 5 team round robin. due to me leaning on 4-6 games tonight. i normally fair very well on hump day's with a condom of-course for these girl-behind bookies haha lets get it scal, we outchea....

Brutal truth is almost ANYTHING can happen in that game. NYK can win by 20, the can lose by 20 ... that`s just they way it is. And if anyone tells me they are a changed team, please go back to League Pass and watch 2nd half against the Cavs and whole game against the Suns.

Unless you are a NYK fan or 100% gambler, this is a very close to a NO BET game. No matter how long is the write up it will still be a coinflip.

    What people don't understand

IS THE NETS ARE THE SAME TEAM PERIOD.

Most of those shiity stats and trends are from earlier in the season when they were getting destroyed by 20-30 points because they couldn't figure out their game. Jesus Christ.....

If they suck on the road they wouldn't abuse Dallas on the road a week ago whos's a very solid up pace HOME TEAM..... then the very next night they were suppose to lay down on a back to back and the let Pelicans abuse them.... they had that locked away and up by 20.... I didn't see any quit or really any sign of fatigue in the nets... Yea they let up and gave them lead away but the level of play was what I was looking at.

Tonight.... the Nets playing their B game will be good enough to beat the Knicks A+ game..... Different quality teams..... this isn't a "REAL" road game..... mothafukas taking a 15 minute car ride to a building that will have 35% Nets fans 40% Knicks fans..... and the other 25% like both teams.....

Vegas is loving this action right now.....

Very true. Playing in MSG could actually extra motivate guys like D-Will and PP. Bigger factor here is playing b2b.

This isn't a real B2B as well..... and if even if it was the nets have been very good on B2B since Jan 1st.

There is literally zero travel involved..... they slept in their own houses last night. That was an easy win vs. the rockets.... coming into tonight's game you think of it as an up tempo shoot around for the Nets from last night.... Keep that in mind.

Nets shot 53% last night and kept the rocket to 38% shooting.... this is a rockets team coming in 2 days rest who is usually lights out on 2 days and shoots around 51%..... they ended last night on a strong finish offensively and defensively.
