Hi Neverchase. You address some very common concerns regarding the baseball contest. First let's look at the trust issue you are concerned about. I don't expect anyone to blindly trust me or anyone else that is why I am imposing a small playing price of only $10. I don't believe anyone will get pissed off if they invested $10 and get ripped off. We could also have everyone just pay the winner at the season's end but from my experience people are less likely to pay once they are out of the competition. If there is someone else in this forum who everyone trust than we could always have that person hold the money. I would not rip anyone off for such a small amount because I would like to keep these threads going for some time.
Now in regards to the flaw in my system I assure you that will not happen with the baseball contest, especially when their is a prize to be rewarded. The reason their will be no mistakes is that I will have the aid of another person to proof read the postings and results. I will also assure you that everyone playing will be monitoring for cheaters. Now you stated that you posted a game late and was given credit for the win. I went back to double check and you are correct and I appreciate your honesty. I have caught people posting late and it's very rare but sometimes I make mistakes. The question for and others who try this is why would you try to cheat when there is nothing to gain from it? Plus if someone does it too often they will be banned. What is there to gain? Because of your honesty I didn't correct your record and I will make more of an effort to check the times. I hope you play because it should be fun. Thanks.

I'm all for an MLB Best Play starting this April. I'd participate. I think the only problem I have with doing this for money is that you're such a nice guy with the picks. You allow a margin of error. You accept bad picks, you give people benefit of the doubt, you let people buy 2 points on every play and most people don't even do it. This is such an unbalanced competition and there's no way of evening the score because of the flexibility of making different style picks. I enjoy this thread for what it is: a forum to watch people make picks in their own special style and see how they do. Thanks to you and you alone, we can see how those people do.
