The Pick:

Hawks -2.5 over Nets.

There's not much to say here as it is as basic as it gets.

How do you not support the Hawks here. If the Hawks lose this game and the three teams beneath them win they can drop from 6th to 9th as those three teams will all be Just ONE game behind them (Chicago Miami Indiana).

Not only that, if they drop to second, they are fed to the Cavs.

Therefore this is a must-win against an improving bottom-feeder off zero days rest.

Nets haven't won 2 in a row all year except over the Wizards and then the Suns. And we know the Suns are tanking. So officially they haven't won 2 in a row.

The line is too light to pass up at -2.5 even if Millsap doesn't play. There is enough here to muster a win by 3/4 or more.

VERY square but my record above is all 'alleged' sharp picks, so you be the judge as to what is square and sharp.

ROCKETS -6 (-120) over SUNS

Again Super Square.

BUT we get a 5 point discount without The Beard.

Rockets opened up as 11.5 point favorites over the Suns.

That line is down to 6.5.

The Rockets have beaten the Suns by 14/16/31 this year. YES Harden played all those game but remember this, ALL those games occurred before the Suns started shutting down the roster (i.e., Bledsoe Chandler and Knight).

This is a team THAT WANTS to LOSE. The head coach was LAUGHING when tanking was insinuated by the media. 

And get this. The Lakers currently have a 2 pt lead over Memphis. If the Lakers win, this is an even STRONGER play as they will be tied in the standings.

D'Antoni can come up with some run and gun schemes to win this game by more than 6 with his style of play.

This Suns team is special. I will be ABSOLUTELY floored if they win so the cover is the only issue. And 6 is not a huge number considering that. Not great but worth the try.

Buying it down to 6.
